2014 - Como Park

Tater,

About the location of the medallion, that's my thoughts exactly.

Makes sense for a park that has had multiple medallions hidden in it.

speaking of that labyrinth, it is in a circle, but the path within that circle is like two hands meeting in the middle.

Just in case this comes up in a clue we'll be ready with that information.

I'm not breathing incense until they hide this thing in Colorado , and my dear, visions of me in yoga positions should bring you to a place where your deepest fears seem like your happy place.

If we've been fooled or have to begin again, have we failed? Phalen or Swede Hollow lots of Irish connections.

I agree, but the problem is if us diehards don't get out there now, odds are that we won't be the finder and personally, I think that sucks!!! I would prefer the finder is someone that has put in the time and effort, not someone who stumbled upon it.

That being said, I can't get out until tomorrow night after work but thinking of taking off on Friday....

Swede, favorite place for the hunt, waiting for the Muffin Man clue.

My internal Medallion compass has been telling me to go "North." I would personally like to take "north" parks more seriously in my hunting after these clues...

Clue 4 still has me stuck on the Como labyrinth. Traditionally it's used for meditating and you generally walk back out the same path you walked in.

But Como is so big, and the temps are so low...gonna bide my time for now.

Thanks for the replies about this. Mark Richer is looking into it. Verizon doesn't think it is the cache, but I'll try that anyway once I make sure I know my Facebook and Able Minds passwords - it would be too mean to not be able to keep up with the posts during the hunt!

Let's play a game for the next few minutes. What obscure word in this clue would lock you in to your large or small park? Limit to three. I'll go first

Hedges

Scout

Longing

Inline with the Wabasha St bridge, I keep thinking about the old Oz nightclub, anyone remember that place? Across from Gallivan's aka American Burger Bar?

Search out, new puck, search it all, far away (clue 4), afar (clue 5), begin again, mansion/private home. This does not feel like como, this feels like a new park, not in the city.

From a mansion's splendid door

causing the vision to soar

...beckoning soul from afar

...moving from star to star

I know it's not exact but it might be close

Could the mansion be a slang for jail?

Well done.

One of my programs is closing tomorrow because the schools are closing. Phone call after phone call making sure I know. One other program will also be an issue as that program offices in a school.

Mansion make me think Hamm's mansion that burned down.

Como... maybe the pavillion?

two stars here.... celestial or celebrity?
Wed, 01/22/2014 - 8:49 PM Permalink
Terry

Mansions I think of Summit Avenue.

I wonder if this could be referring to that large home with the lions in front on Midway - but I wouldn't necessarily call that a mansion.

sure.. just give me some celestial coordinates.. that'd be enough to get me to the right spot.

Too bad the clue writer probably doesn't know how to do that... just speak in riddles that vaguely get you no where....

A mansions door - gates ajar? I'm guessing not.

splendid mansion = como park

door = gate's ajar

My brain must be broken, I feel noodle-less this year.
Wed, 01/22/2014 - 9:00 PM Permalink
Terry

I have noodles - but nothing very concrete. The clues this year are different in one way or another.

I was hoping to have a definite park tonight considering the weather and depth of snow.

I was thinking of the same "gates ajar" made me wonder if i'm MAKING it fit

bunch of nouns right now
Wed, 01/22/2014 - 9:02 PM Permalink
OT

"Park" hasn't been mentioned in any of the clues so far.
Wed, 01/22/2014 - 9:04 PM Permalink
Terry

I have been wondering the same thing, but when I try to get clues to fit elsewhere, it goes nowhere and I am back at the beginning.
