2014 - Como Park

Light moves from star to star and beckons from afar. If your soul is soaring, you are either having a vision from God but not like nowadays and more like an old testament vision, or you are very dead! The mansion is heaven. We are talking graveyards here. For sure. Not cono.

I think we should start looking for parks with graveyards nearby and see if anything "fits".

Another thought for Como..From the splendid mansion's door might refer to the stonebridge entrance to Como. It's from the Crosby estate and would have been the "door" to that mansion.

Unless it's a fitzgerald reference. It moves from star to star. Advertisements can beckon you from afar. And a vision causing soul to soar could be a great performance. But which one. Please excuse my early morning, eagan to figure this out, before work rants. Lol

What if 'he who gave them fits' is Sparky the Seal? The seal show came over in '56, but the amphitheater didn't get built until '82. The sunken amphitheater could certainly be considered a pit.

Downtown Greenline light rail 10th street station is a block from the Fitz theater, and right next to two churches. When completed, the Greenline will connect the capital with the Northstar commuter line.

Star (capital) to Star (Northstar line).

"Suburbs and neighborhoods and throughout St. Paul. Don’t dig up the ground. Thin ice – stay away!"

I'm reading this different than most I think. Perceived to be a "Don't dig up earth" clue. I see it to mean its not by these places. Subtle way of saying not farther throughout St. Paul, but rather right downtown, where there's no suburbs, neighborhoods or thin ice.

The splendid mansion could be the Capitol (in the news a lot lately with the renovations) or the Cathedral.

sue was thinking that. i was thinking perhaps a subtle re-reeference to the wide as triple e, but then thought its too close to reuse the reference.

I agree with you completely but am still inclined to believe its in a park. If it was downtown, where could they hide that's public property? Besides rice which I don't think they'd do with all the stuff that goes on there.

Not sure if it was mentioned yet but mired, in terms of units, is used to determine the color temperature of light. After the rainbow and star to star clue I thought it might be of use. I am just not sure how to use it. :sheepish:

I'm constantly asking myself whether I'm noodles the clues the simplest way. (keep it simple stupid) Or if I'm noodling them to fit Como.

    Today's clue:

stars beckoning from afar = como planetarium

mansion's door = gate ajar (rhymes with afar)

soul - maybe a church steeple visible

soar - maybe something bird related

Views of St Andrew's church steeple from Como Park, Larry Ho Zone. Med found in this section of Como (between Horton and Estabrook over by the former trolley route) in 1965, 1997. You can see the Conservatory from this section.
