I like downtown too particularly after I came up with the whole Sandy Pappas thing. But, tonight's really sounds like Como.
BTW, when Pitts was displayed at the Capitol, it was likely in the old location of the Capitol, which is near the public housing place today. So, maybe if it is downtown there's public land around there.
Is it just me, or are there an uncanny amount of words that rhyme with "ore" in this hunt? Not sure what to make of that, but I have some thought. Anybody else running with this idea?
The Soaring Eagle, an exhilarating new zip line attraction, gives visitors to Como Town an amazing new perspective of the park and zoo from 85 feet in the air! The Soaring Eagle is scheduled to open early-to-mid June at Como Town. The Soaring Eagle will take visitors in reverse 420 feet from one end of the amusement park to the top of the ride 85 feet in the air for a panoramic bird’s eye view of Como Town, Como Zoo (including the new Gorilla Forest) and Como Park, and then riders will soar back to the starting point while enjoying the spectacular view. The Soaring Eagle double seat comfortably and safely accommodates two riders – children and adults–who can experience the attraction together.
The other plaque memorializes the fifty-one other U.S. Navy submarines lost during World War II. That's a lot of lost souls soaring. Lots of names. Sad.
True. there is an old trolley bridge (spanless trolley bridge) over Beula Lane and a former trolley car path over by where it was found 2003 (Beula Zone). Dedicated bench over off Jessamine w a Nelson Mandela quote, he has been in the news.
I agree that it is about the streetcar station/ trolley zone but I don't think the new once more refers to light rail but to the controversy over St. Paul's plan to make a new streetcar run along seventh. I think this clue= old streetcar station.
Funny I was looking for the controversy over the Streetcar issue and came up with 2013 photos of the Selby Street Car line and tunnel I mentioned before.
Here is what the entrance to the tunnel looks like today - from a great!! site/blog I have followed before - used it last year for Cherokee/BV Nature Trail site photo noodling. Also had photos of the terrain and s few homeless folk who lived there last august...
Good morning! So, clue 6 at face value to me says it is talking about light rail. Used to have street cars, now a new light rail. Some love the idea, others do not, and use of the actual word rail as double meaning almost seems too obvious. But I do not know how to fit light rail in with Como Park unless it just references the historic fact of the street cars of past.
So trying to not overthink, would the area be the fire pits and picnic table section off Horton and Hamline?
Another thing at the park that was old and now new is the pool. Not sure who would be upset about that though. Wish I could dig but glad I'm in warm weather.

Which some will cheer and some deplore.
Some will rail; some beam euphoric.
But there's no denying the site's historic.

Is it far away or where you've been?
If fooled, just begin again.
Certainly a lot of Hunter's starting at Gabe's who have been heading to the wrong park. Not sure they are gonna stray too far now.
Other wise it screws up the page display and makes all the posts below yours run off the page. Thank you.
