too many of the clues fit como. too many of them fit harriet. too many fitting both reminds me of 2003 and makes me wish i had a good stiff drink in hand.
Good noodling everyone! I have nothing to add, but a good stiff drink sounds good.
I dreamt about domes last night - ancient ones on wheels (tires) running through trails that were mucky (mire). I don't like dreaming about clues especially when they are so out of whack.
good noodle over on facebook regarding the newly refurbished MN State Capitol being on the puck this year. Kinda like the "horizen's sketch" in clue 2 last year.
Every noodle is good because no one knows what might be the correct translation of the clue and we won't know until it's found. Puts everyone on a level playing field and I like that part of the hunt.
It's fun to look back and see exactly which red herrings had me off and running to the wrong parks. Digging for hours until the next clue changes my mind.
If I remember correctly, Cherokee, IM, Upper Landing, maybe Harriet Island but that might sit too low and with downtown between the park and the capital.
Of course there is also the dome of the cathedral that can be seen from most of these parks. A lot has to do with how low you are standing and how clear the view is between you and either one of those structures.
I think we all look for the park with the port-a-potty's. That's an easy give away. Duh! Drove along the river road tonight. No port-a-potty's and the gates are closed at Hidden Falls. Not that I thought it was there...lol
So now we are looking for loos that could perhaps be domed but they're locked so good luck to us. We'll end up in the mire but stay away from the gorse.
A new clue will appear daily through Thursday, February 2, 2017, unless the medallion is found prior to that date. Read the daily clues to search for the Pioneer Press medallion hidden on public land in Ramsey County. The medallion will not be hidden on the State Capitol grounds, at Como Zoo & Conservatory, under any skating surface, on a golf course, under or on any artificial turf surface or at any construction site.

another OO word...but different sound from "good" (uh) to cool and toodle-loo (oo).
I'm sitting laughing my butt off and trying to be quiet because Inks hit the sheets a bit ago, tears running and I tend to snort.
to find another spot
but without any stalls when nature calls
go around for the prized pot
my guess for clue 5
I've been laughing to myself so hard I couldn't even start without rolling on the floor. My funny bone has been tickled.
If it's closed for the season that's pretty good reason
to find another spot.
When nature calls, but without any stalls,
go around for the prized pot.
Witchdoctor you were very close! I am impressed.
If I'm right...my new favorite clue of all time.
