Fri, 01/26/2001 - 12:14 AM Permalink
Gregor

Off base might mean away from McMurray fields. There are a ton of baseball diamonds there.

Dickaroo

So much in life boils down to syntax.....

....especially in a treasure hunt

Fri, 01/26/2001 - 12:15 AM Permalink
chris clown

yeah, that's true you would think there would be a water clue by now

Fri, 01/26/2001 - 12:15 AM Permalink
Cheryl Straight

Fri, 01/26/2001 - 12:16 AM Permalink
Annette B.

Yeah, but even if it is at COMO - it is not IN COMO, so perhaps the seach wont be so hard. (off base)

Fri, 01/26/2001 - 12:16 AM Permalink
Gregor

marley k -- How did you know he/she was a spotter?

Fri, 01/26/2001 - 12:17 AM Permalink

Fri, 01/26/2001 - 12:18 AM Permalink

angela forrest

so everyone thinks COMO????

Fri, 01/26/2001 - 12:21 AM Permalink
New Daddy

Hi all I'm back from diggin and going to the PP.. It was nice to see so many of you at the PP

I think off base means that we should be very creative in interipting what room for riding around means and I think it is unlikely that this refers to a bike path. What other type of riding do you do???

Fri, 01/26/2001 - 12:21 AM Permalink
Dickaroo

Hidden Falls looked good up until this latest clue..It's a long, narrow park. It doesn't bring up visions of "lots of space"

Fri, 01/26/2001 - 12:21 AM Permalink
Jake Jeckyl

Hey Jake, you here? have you talked to Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope yet?

Fri, 01/26/2001 - 12:21 AM Permalink
lelej

New Daddy car races at phalen??

Fri, 01/26/2001 - 12:21 AM Permalink

Jake Jeckyl

JACK! where ya been! yeah! there in here right now!!!

Fri, 01/26/2001 - 12:23 AM Permalink
ONEBRUNODIGGS

OR MABE THEY WERE ALSO STREETS AT COMO

Fri, 01/26/2001 - 12:23 AM Permalink
New Daddy

Lelej -could be, but that idea isn't very far off base??

I think it is circular thinking that an idea that is not off base is less likely

Fri, 01/26/2001 - 12:23 AM Permalink
lelej

What about the rec center there has baseball ??

Fri, 01/26/2001 - 12:24 AM Permalink
Jake Jeckyl

Really? hey! J Shaggs! you guys here?

Fri, 01/26/2001 - 12:24 AM Permalink

The bad thing about Como is that it is so large and multifeatured that, if your mindset is Como, the clues can always be made to fit.....

Of course, to my mom, that was one of it's best features...

Fri, 01/26/2001 - 12:25 AM Permalink
angela forrest

There used to be that brige that connected the 2 ends of phalen.

Fri, 01/26/2001 - 12:26 AM Permalink
Jake Jeckyl

Hey, Jake, some of the others will be here in a bit

Fri, 01/26/2001 - 12:26 AM Permalink

East and West are part of the test -- Estabrook?

Riding - horses, bikes, carnival rides (like the small one in Como?), motorcycles.

Fri, 01/26/2001 - 12:26 AM Permalink
wrightwinger

you know, the stay off base could mean, the park dosnt have a ball field too

Fri, 01/26/2001 - 12:26 AM Permalink
wrightwinger

and battlecreek still fits too, but i have to go study

Fri, 01/26/2001 - 12:27 AM Permalink
Ms Sharky

Anybody thinking horseback riding? Any park that offers that?

I see that Como has a carousel.

HF was built under WPA which was an FDR thing.

Highland offers frisbee golf. Any link there?

And, one more park, Crosby. Would that ever enter into this hunt? It's in a valley.

Just noodling, sorry:(

Fri, 01/26/2001 - 12:27 AM Permalink
Cheryl Straight

thanks onebruno..

still feel it is como.. they used estabrook last time didn't they?

are the past years' clues still available somewhere on the planet ?

Fri, 01/26/2001 - 12:28 AM Permalink
Lisa O'Connell

"lot's of space" could mean a parking "lot" with alot of parking "spaces"? Maybe???

Fri, 01/26/2001 - 12:29 AM Permalink
Gregor
