Yes, the medallion has been found, but there's still lots to talk about. Feel the need for more than virtual discussion? Then join the Re-Hash Bash, Sunday, Jan. 27, at noon at Merriam Park in St. Paul.
Hello, Im new to the cooler crew and I was just wondering how close you guys get to the medallion and have you ever picked the right park of the first couple clues.
It has a mural of the St.Paul Winter Carnival Ice Palace on the side of the rec building. It is considered on the river though it is two blocks away.It is directly down most of the seven hills and thus far from woods. It has a skating rink and broomball area as well as a playground and school a half block away.
Not saying for sure.....looks good for only the third clue and the next clue may take me somewhere else entirely......But I liked enough to go and take a first shot with the shovel, and traditionally I don't dig until at least the fifth or sixth clue.(Linwood excluded:)
Okayyyyy In the dark here...... HELP ME OUT!!!!!!!! CoCo Wheats, CoCo Wheats can't be beat. It's the creamy hot cereal with the cocoa treat! To be big and strong, have lots of fun, eat CoCo Wheats everyone!!!
SCRIBE:Long time no talk to.Well-here we are again seeking that medallion. The way the snow is melting now-I wonder if the spotting will be any easier. It's not supposed to snow again for awhile.
Last year you had some pretty keen insights on the location. An analytical mind you do possess.
ka, devil's den is a reference made by some people who were in here causing trouble the past few evenings. they've since left our company. and they're not missed. ian was a very bad citizen for bringing it up. scribe, feel free to deliver the punishment with the rubber chicken.
Do you guys ever meet at a certain time at a park and hunt together. I would be interested in joining you.
The Sunday after the medallion hunt is over, the park that the medallion was found in is a Post-Dig Bash. The watercooler gang goes there as well as the finder (usually) and anyone else who wants to join in the fun. I've never been able to go, but would love to this year.
I wonder if the medallion finder has ever been a part of the Cooler Crew. NE1 know? It would be cool for one of us to actually win it after all this soul-searching!!
It's a shame how some of the inspirations i get aren't applicable.
Take the two lines mentioning 'time'.The first thought i hadwas century(Century Ave)-and "some time to kill"could be the recent demise,or 'killng' of th twentieth century.
Century Ave.isn't in St. Paul. It's barely in Ramsey County.Somebody here thought of 'winter, which is mentioned by word, and could be a reference to a time frame.
Yes, Scribe. But, unfortunately, I left it at home. Do you have a page # or a web site # I can go look at?
DARTHEAD:The treasure can by rules be in suburban Ramsey County-but the first clue does mention(as in most years),to look in a St. Paul park.
Not St. Paul Park though.
what about "devil's den" ??
TD.....The park I was at today was indeed Palace!
the last couple of years it has gone from big park to small park so if you follow that line of thinking, it would be a small park this year
Hello, Im new to the cooler crew and I was just wondering how close you guys get to the medallion and have you ever picked the right park of the first couple clues.

Scribe...LMAO....I di it 3 yrs ago when it was 20 below and 15 inches of snow.....you lining up anything other than down the hill and Ice "Palace"??
That Maureen woman I think found it 3 yrs ago or 4
Not so far KA,but Maureen Hursey is on quite often and she and her husband found it at Cherokee in 98.
How 'bout peeing on the hiding spot after it's found?
Randy,
you lining up anything other than down the hill and Ice "Palace"??
A bay has tides, and Bay St. borders Palace.
