It's time for the Medallion Hunt! The first clue will appear on PioneerPlanet just after midnight Saturday, Jan. 22. Come back here to compare notes with other treasure seekers, but be certain you read the rules on the Planet's Winter Carnival page.
Hey People don't mind me. I am as sharp as a tack when it comes to the medallion. I have been makeing a point... and that is it is way to early to begin digging into these clues we have before us.
For some reason I had it in my head that it would be by a police station, but that was before any clues came out. I thought so because of the amount of money involved and crowd control.
Ohhh, I'm sure you've never been there. Nor I. But I was across the street from it on the right year. It was so cold that year too. And deep snow. A flame thrower would have made it so much quicker.
Vicki, I was saying way way earlier today about that. Usually in the last couple, even further back years, there's only been one stanza to the first (actually most) clues.
They could have stopped this year with the first stanza, but they *didn't*. The second stanza's very important.
Oh! And JW Boothe was *caught*!!! ROFLOLCOOSBAG!!!
Otay, now I'll even admit I'm stretching things, but... I'm not totally shure yet!!!
Step: If you click on "preferences" (one of the green buttons on this page) there is a space where you can edit in a picture. There are several steps to this, and I don't have all the instructions. The instructions you will find there are not very good. I know someone here has the instructions and will post them shortly. Hang on.
Step - but it only makes sense if they don't want people digging up golf courses, then why would they draw everyone whose looking for this thing to trample the ONLY THREE PARKS that HAVE golf courses and narrow it down from the VERY FIRST DAY. That would be asking for trouble. I don't think so.
Looks like another good year to walk over the medallion a few times before someone else finds it.
Definately a large park, my guess is Battle Creek, or maybe Phalen, its been a while since it was at either. Good luck to all, see you diggin later in the week.
Ittiz, it is my theory, and I may be wrong, but golf courses have never been mentioned in clues except when the medallion is found at a park which also has a golf course.
Way to go, Ittiz!!!
I think you all have some very good points, but it's in Highland!
Find it yet, Eags?
Eye feels like he's watching a TV set at the other end of the bar.
don't you think its funny?
"don't disturb a fairway or a green follow this advice and you wouldn't be caught wasting your time at the wrong scene"
why didn't they stop after green? that would've said enough
Find *what* yet, Ittiz?
Alliego, wouldn't know about the frog pond. I usually dig close to where the treasure is found.

Thrill... attraction... action... see a theme there?
Golden--I think your "crime" idea is a great one....
I dont know if you saw the post, but Terry sais there is a police station on the highland grounds.
I dig! or I'd like to B diggin'!
There's a Nevada, I *think* by Phalen... At least I remember a Wyoming and an Idaho...
And lest we forget... LINCOLN WAS SHOT IN FORD THEATRE!!!
I'm *really* sorry you guys, but never bee4 have I ever connected anything, and I just can't let that go!!!!
For some reason I had it in my head that it would be by a police station, but that was before any clues came out. I thought so because of the amount of money involved and crowd control.
Ittiz: That'll be a good connection to watch as new clues unfold. I also like the "scene" and "action" connection from clue 1 and clue 2.
Sitting at the police station could be the wrong scene if you're caught digging in the golf course.
Saw it Step - Chris P may be right - it's at Highland. Highland doesn't have any "action" at it like Como (Sledding) or Phalen (Car Races)
At this point the clues are almost as hard to interpret as a Clinton answer depends what the definition of thrill is. etc.....
Ohhh, I'm sure you've never been there. Nor I. But I was across the street from it on the right year. It was so cold that year too. And deep snow. A flame thrower would have made it so much quicker.
Is there any skiing at Highland?
Haha..funny, Axel!! Too funny.
Hmmm warner road/Shepard road
Golden--maybe they DID want to narrow it down to three parks.....
You think?
Hey McBeal yer real funny
Terry--I don't think so...pretty dead there during the winter....
warner brothers?
Vicki, I was saying way way earlier today about that. Usually in the last couple, even further back years, there's only been one stanza to the first (actually most) clues.

There you go Green - it's at Highland Park. FORD Parkway, POLICE Stations, where's my sorels!
how do you guys have those pictures?
wasn't the 1st place the medallion was hidden in Highland Park? 150th anniversary, hid it in the park it was originally hidden at?
"Flying downhill" could also refer to the old ski jump site at Battle Creek.
golden--where in the clues does "FORD" fit in?

Are we gonna share the cash with each other or is it everyone stand alone?? :)
So here ittiz...the 2nd clue and we're flying through ideas like the shuttle flies through space.
Ittiz, there's no golf course there, tho...
And Ford Pkwy divides the golfy half o'Highland from the park park part.
Everyone stands alone.
If I am out hunting with someone and we find it, I'll split it with those I'm hunting with at the time.
Why do you need a golf course, Green? It seems it is clear there is NO golf course. Says if you're near one, you're wasting your time.
I need to get my maps out....but I think another street seperates Highland Park from the golf course....Antonio? Hamline?
Montreal seperates the golf course from the police station.
Green--yeah, but how was FORD pulled out of the clues?
well, it only took me an hour to read these posts, and now I have to go to work. See y'all later...
Brad, if you find it, I think splitting the cash with us is a capital idea.
Hey guys & gals,
Looks like another good year to walk over the medallion a few times before someone else finds it.
Definately a large park, my guess is Battle Creek, or maybe Phalen, its been a while since it was at either. Good luck to all, see you diggin later in the week.
Going to bed, Adios
Ittiz, it is my theory, and I may be wrong, but golf courses have never been mentioned in clues except when the medallion is found at a park which also has a golf course.
Could the 2nd clue have anything to do with what it is hidden in?
So, Ter? And your point izz? Like we're gonna change our spots or sumpin'? Ittiz always the same and that's why ittiz SO FUN!!!
Would it bee any fun if we all sat here, not posting, not noodling, just nodding our heads, going "Ah, yup... Ahuh.. Unhuh... Rite..."
NOT!!!
"We are all just prisoners here of our own device."
It usually is an early clue that hints at what ittiz hidden in.
Birdie--what part of the clue makes you think that?
You mean like an earmuff?
My point is this....It's finally here and I'm so excited to be noodling!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes Ittiz, like an earmuff :(
