It's time for the Medallion Hunt! The first clue will appear on PioneerPlanet just after midnight Saturday, Jan. 22. Come back here to compare notes with other treasure seekers, but be certain you read the rules on the Planet's Winter Carnival page.
Golden Boy
It was FORD who Shot Lincoln. Also Kennedy's Secretary's last name was Lincoln, and Lincoln was shot in 1865, Kennedy close to 1965, and both victims of a crime - thus police.........I'm gettin dizzzzzy
Ittiz, because in years past the warning to not damage property has been very general - just don't damage public property. Ittiz significat that *this* year they specifically say, "Ittiz in the park, but not the golf course - so don't dig it up."
Storm, too funny on the "capital" bit!! LOL!!!
Step... The word "scene". Lincoln was shot in Ford Theatre - scenes of plays. Also, and I'll admit this - was an after thought to my original one... - Boothe *was* caught. Don't think PP would go into that much detail for a single road, but in years past one clue has had as many as 3-4 words referencing the same thing.
Birdie, not unless - in my opinion - ittiz on a ski or in a sled!
I am thinking Hockey... Hockey team coming to St. Paul flying=pucks.. winning tuff if hit.. hit=nil hockey popular outdoor attraction.. close to a outdoor hockey rink.
Green: You don't think there's a greater warning simple because Saint Paul has been getting hit with lots of litigation stemming from damage? It would reduce the likelihood of getting sued if you limited the hunt to the city. And golf courses are expensive to repair.
Eye just don't feel too suspicious about those directions.
What's brown and black and looks good on a lawyer?
ALL: When you're icon (hour glass) is frozen and just sits there...
DO NOT!!! Keep hitting "Post My Message"! What's happening is something's going on in The 'Planet, and if you continually hit "PMM" you will have multiple posts as Gold Coat has.
Only hit "Post My Message" once... And then please be patient.
If you hit it many times and see you've posted a bazillion posts, please do us all a HUGE FLAVOR and go back and delete all but one.
Thank you.
I now return you to your originally scheduled noodling.
1849--1849? 150 Years ago - PP's anniversary - very observant. That would be Polk (1845-49) or Taylor (1849-50). I think Taylor was assissinated like Lincoln (short term) - just not in Ford's Theatre.
What do you guys think of mounds park? "Flying downhill" (airport down below?)But don't get too close to the action. ???????? I don't know I am still in the dark here!lol I don't think there would be a golfcourse because I don't think they would narrow it down to only 3 parks in the first clue like that. And you would be "wasting your time at the wrong scene" I guess We'll have to wait till tomorrow over here!!! See you all out there!
Ittiz, OBVIOUSLY you've NOT been to our Web site!!! AND YOU!!! SUCH AN ESTEEMED MEMBER O'THE CREW!!! Shamey, shamey, shamey!!!
Check out just last year's *generic* first clue. You'll see what I mean. And that's YEARS after the law suit thingy. Yup. I *wish* you'd trust Ter and me on this. PAAALLEEEZZZ????
Step... Noodle the clues izz to ponder them, think, worry them like a dog with a bone - "use your noodle" on the clues!
Well some of us are trying to think of how history might play a role in this year's hunt. And being this is the 150th anniversary of Mom Press, it might play a role in the clues...and if not...just think how much education we'll get.

Is there a park at Fort Snelling?
Step: Noodle it awhile, you'll figger it out.
have to ask yourself what the scene is in #1
I am thinking Hockey... Hockey team coming to St. Paul flying=pucks.. winning tuff if hit.. hit=nil hockey popular outdoor attraction.. close to a outdoor hockey rink.

so, so tired...going off to bed! good night green! We'll be good friends after all of this! see you tomorrow evening!
I don't even know who was president before Clinton

Night to all those toddling off to dreamland. Sweet Cooler Medallion Dreams!
Step: Noodling (verb) 1) Using your noodle. 2) To noodle.

Pucks don't fly downhill. Ski jumpers are called "flyers." So are sleds, as in Radio Flyers.
Where the hell do you get 1849?
150 years ago...when the St. Paul Pioneer Press/Dispatch was born.

I was think maybe William Henry HARRIson Harriet Island?
I love to laugh thanks Eagle Eye
Yes. But where does that relate to a clue? Did Eye miss number 3 or 4 already, or are you guys just making 'em up for grins?
Bird - you've got something. Taylor Ave runs right into Newell Park.
yea... we even got two clues a day then too
Gonna check out of this hotel for now. Going to SnoozerLand. Think I'll put the clues under my pillow and see what dreams that brings.
I'll be here bright and early tomorrow morning, slogging to see what I missed.
Goodnight and Sweet Medallion-Hunting Dreams to everybuddy!
Nite, All!!!
SMHD!!! (Sweet Med Hunt Dreams)!!!

think it's at Cheerokee park again, because I think so.
I like the Mounds theory. Flying downhill to the airport works. The "not too close" could refer to the warning beacon on the bluff.

nighty night you
President----caught, scene, action Clinton did all of these
