1999 Pioneer Press Medallion Hunt

Submitted by Casey Trauer on

It's time for the Medallion Hunt! The first clue will appear on PioneerPlanet just after midnight Saturday, Jan. 22. Come back here to compare notes with other treasure seekers, but be certain you read the rules on the Planet's Winter Carnival page.

Ittiz Eye

Green. Eye's found it just as many time as you have. And stepped on it just as often, too.

Of course, only Terry has picked it up and then tossed it away!

History might play a role in that it could be hidden at Cherokee again, first time in history that it has been hidden at the same park in consecutive years

Terry

Ittiz - I didn't throw it away...I put those earmuffs back so the person who lost them could find them.

Follow this advice and you won't be caught Wasting your time at the wrong scene.... Anyone know where in St. Paul some SCENES from Jingle all the way were filmed??? That could narrow it down... i think the golf course clue EXCLUDES all parks with courses nearby.... and flying downhill is obviously sledding... lets not read too much into these here... as we all know every Minnesotan isnt a decrypter... Thats my 1999 hunt welcome message... see ya'll here soon...

Golden Boy

Clinton Ave - by the Downtown St. Paul Airport. Of course this means absolutely NOTHING>>>>>>

They won't do Mounds, Ittiz. Too much controversy over the burial sites being dug up...

Keep goin, Ittiz!!! Eventually you'll get the hang o'this!!! Ittiz different than writing clues, isn't it???

And bee4 you snap and snarl at me... Remember *I'm* the one that followed Quest's hunt home! It was ME that found the [singular] earmuff!!!

Mounds Park is looking like the best option.

Ittiz Eye

BFink: Eye still think the flying could bee the ski jump, too. Been a long time since they've had it in that area of BC Park. That valley provides some excellent cover, both for the med and the person that hides it.

They will not put it at Cherokee again. It would be to easy.

Green: Eye wish you'd quit acting like this is the first time Eye's hunted. I've seriously stepped on it multiple times, and seen it picked up next to me twice. Eye and Bee used to spend many a night out there chipping away ice. Perhaps more than you even!

I was also thinking that Battle Creek could be a good possibility.

Mon, 01/25/1999 - 12:43 AM Permalink
Ittiz Eye

Just bummed because Eye is 300 miles away...

Mon, 01/25/1999 - 12:44 AM Permalink

Ter, you read too fast. Re-read. I was asking Ittiz to trust YOU AND ME.

No Mounds, No Chair-O-Key, no Battle Creek... But please go there and prove me wrong... LOL!!!

For all you that are saying Presidents that are assassinated--Taylor died of Natural Causes during presidency (1850)-----Polk retired from his Presidency in 1849. Taylor took over for Polk. Hope that helps you to the right direction!!!

Mon, 01/25/1999 - 12:49 AM Permalink

I think ittiz time for me to go dream about this. I'm going out scouting tomorrow after work.

Maybe I'll get lucky this time and not put it back.

Sweet Cooler Medallion Dreams to one and all!

Ittiz, you're welcome to come up to hunt...

Ah... And you can sack out with me if you want. If not, bet Eags would house you as you hunted.

I'm not saying you're a total idiot, Ittiz. I'm just saying that hunting Web-wize gives you about a BAZILLION more times info that you have to process and digest. Ter and I have done this already; you've not. You always went on the paper-thingy and were not privy to a bazillion minds/ideas/mind-sets/comments/thoughts.

There is SO MUCH to be gotten now. Doing it this way. Folks - like me and Ter - are able to toss/pitch/ignore/disregard so much info, as we've gotten it already and put it into the memory banks.

Hunting here, on the Internet, is vastly different than when you were hunting with only a paper copy.

A good xample izz our Web page. There is a TON (and even the Web page is lacking - more info will come) of stuff there that can constantly bee referred to in the flick of a mouse button.

I'm not saying you're not a Digger, I'm not saying you're not a Hunter... I'm just saying that folks like me and Ter are basing our ideas on more that what we carry around in our noggin's... We're using the entire Internet for info.

Don't bee grumpy, Ittiz...

Brad J. Brunner

I was just wondering :)

Mon, 01/25/1999 - 12:52 AM Permalink
Ittiz Eye

Grumpy? Nah. But Eye guess there's no sense in me helping you, Green, since you obviously already know where it is and Eye's just clueless.

Good luck!

Goodnight.
