It's time for the Medallion Hunt! The first clue will appear on PioneerPlanet just after midnight Saturday, Jan. 22. Come back here to compare notes with other treasure seekers, but be certain you read the rules on the Planet's Winter Carnival page.
What if the clues mean what they say "Its in a public Park in St.paul" ---- "Stay the hell off the golfcourses(whether the park has 1 or not is not spoken of)...yet?--- "Stay the hell away from the KIDS sliding fun!!!!"--just simple thinking--cant it just read as it says!!--so many more people since big money involved--People from out-of-area even.. Maybe just laying down the ground rules for playing????
Green? What is your best bet Phalen or Highland? It seems like you know what you are talking about and I am intrested as a first time hunter for some Professional Hunting advice?
Mr. Whaley. you sound like you have been doing this for a while. would you be interested in forming a group to look for the medallion?? We could call our team BWC.
I've been typing clues for years past, the 70's if you wanna know, for our Web site - where we hope to have just about as much info on MomPress' hunt as anybuddy can gather.
Anyway, I've gotten all my insights there. I cannot recommend STRONGLY ENUFF that you read and re-read and look at clues from the past years. Ittiz amazing what insight you can get from them.
Too, I listen to folks here - like Terry. She's been hunting since a wee kid. And folks like Ittiz - he, too's been hunting since his folks could put him and Bee in miniature Sorels.
Terry actually had the Med in her hand the year it was on the Capital grounds. Told her daughter to toss it back, as the owner would come looking for the lost earmuffs.
And people like Maureen and Steve, the bro and sis, that won it last year.
Listen, ask questions, noodle and ponder... Cruise the Web... Read, study...
And it comes easier.
Last year, I damn near cried every nite. It was so hard. I didn't understand anything but my xcitement. It was fun, it was great... But I didn't understand anybody.
Guess you can't, just coming in. But there was no one to help me/teach me/asssit me. It was hard.
I want to help udder newbies that are xcited and like The Hunt. I don't want them to go thru what I did.
I'm full'a "piss and vinegar; meaner'un cat crap," as my grandmother used to say!!!
I stay the course thru the entire Hunt... Usually a titch off o'Ground Zero!!! But at least last year I got into Chair-O-Key WAYYYYY before the Mounders!!!
IM ON TO SOMETHING HUGE HERE.... THE LAST WORDS OF CLUES #1 AND #2 ARE SCENE & ACTION.... HENCE FILMMAKING.... ANYONE???? I ALREADY SUGGESTED THE JINGLE ALL THE WAY FILMING LOCALES OR POSSIBLY A SMALL STUDIO NEAR THE SITE???
Okay green... that is quite a Gelfan if i do say so myself... last year i thought rosebud meant the prize was under a snoglobe... but of course it was the more simplistic sledding hill... So heed my advice and stick to filmmaking clues... there is no "action" called in plays... only movies... and obviously scene is a direct relation to film....
cross country skiing is pretty popular on the golf course across the street from the castle site. same message, 2 clues, thats that. over analyzing creates short cicuit loops that can be non-productive and painful. most clues mean one, maybe 2 things. early clues vague, later clues sometimes specific, one things for sure, if one clue don't fit get in your vehick'le and move. wild goose chases are part of the game, look at everyone at indian mounds last year. when the pyramid clue came out, it blew out IM park. we could know its in phalen right now and still be looking y2k. it should be another fun year, see ya all out their.
So exactly what parks DO have golf courses near or attached?? That clue may also mean just the opposite... to stay away from the parks with golf courses... ????
i'm heading to mounds to dig

Brad, IMHO... think you're getting just a titch paranoid!!! This izz still St. Paul, after all.

Brad, you're a goose. Don't see what you're apologizing for. Apologize when you've done something really wrong or embarrassing!
Hey Bill King, you expect us to read these clues and and not "read" anything into them? That would be too easy.
Stay the course, Green...hmmmmm, that could mean something given the most recent clues.
Storm, you're a hoot!!! And a love!!
(I'd been in Battle Creek....)
IM ON TO SOMETHING HUGE HERE.... THE LAST WORDS OF CLUES #1 AND #2 ARE SCENE & ACTION.... HENCE FILMMAKING.... ANYONE???? I ALREADY SUGGESTED THE JINGLE ALL THE WAY FILMING LOCALES OR POSSIBLY A SMALL STUDIO NEAR THE SITE???
oh yeah... whats the deal with all this presidential talk???
I still think it's in Highland!
Hay, DDY!!!
Why?
<g>
Can't call me a SNOOZER tonite... Can you, Buster??!!!
And I only have to get up at 5:00 a.m.!!!
DDY... Jello?
You working or cruising???
It has a golf course nearby. It is a large park with plenty of room for diggers.
And Lincoln was killed in Ford Theatre...
And will you allow me to Stretch (had to capilatize it for Stretch on KQRS...) it... HE WAS CAUGHT!!! <g>
What's Ford and Lincoln got to do with the clues?
Sheesh! You've NOT SLOGGED!! SHAMEY!!!
First clue - "scene"
Actor/plays/scene...
Lincoln was shot in FORD Theatre...
Ford Pkwy????
And stretching... Boothe was *caught*!!! (BIG HUGE STRETCH!)
Hey Green.... could ya explain the reasoning behind all the dead presidents babble???
Take it with a grain, David Dean...
Yust my thoughts and opinions!
Read up, Barton.
But is there a park on Ford Parkway?
For once i think i may be on to something...
Sweetie, Highland Park!
Ford Pkwy divies the GOLF COURSE from the park park part!!!
Burton, YOU GO, BOYFRIEND!!!

My point exactly! Then why do you dispute when I say Highland Park?
so Green... you think all the coffee and years of studying film actually helped me solve a clue???... if so IT WAS WORTH IT!!!!
Davie, do not dispute... Still noodling everything. Just wanted to give you all my insites/ideas/may-not-be-rites I've discovered this year!!!
1-0-3
Phalen, Highland, Battle Creek.
Yust my opinion!
Sounds good, Green! It will be interesting!
You GO, DDY!!!
FIND IT!!! MAKE THE CC PROUD!!!
Sure will, Green! Meanwhile, I think I'll grab this JOE!!!
