just got back from the fort snelling visitor center under the mendota bridge...not much parking...can't see it being on pike island.  very narrow road the whole way too.

pike island is fairly long, I've hiked part of it before, kinda a neat place. Sadly if that's our directional clue for the evening it won't help too much, except eliminate the eastern side of the park. If the cluewriter is trying to draw a line though, my guess is we should be going east from the eagle sign, course that's totally messed up if the original homestead was west of that sign.

Probably, but the hinge thing makes me wonder if they're going back to a treasure chest again.  With non-metalic hinges of some sort.

Night C!  It was fun having you in here tonight.

I am convinced it is attached to a bottle of Pledge, or a pack of pledge wipes (Clue #3 --Be safe and we pledge, neither cliff nor water's edge) or a bottle of Naked brand juice (Clue #7-- Lonely and forsaked, the puck rests naked). The naked part could be referencing something biblical even because Adam and Eve were naked, but that is probably foolishness to even think! Maybe my brain froze while I was digging!
