what area of Crosby actually has a grove of trees anyways? Thought I covered a good deal of that park in the last couple days (and in my past geocaching trips there) and I never thought I ran across a grove on it's own, or am IÂ just missing the obvious?
interesting idea TerryV... I just can't make out a grove of any sort in that park.. seems to me the whole area is woodland excluding the lakes/riverfront... certainly din't see many clearings...
Any apple trees in a grove would be encroached upon by other volunteer trees after all these years. Might be hard to find what once was...if there's any still out there.
Not to mention flooding terryv, I have no idea how apple trees would hold up to such things. All I know is that park is absolutely full or stinging nettles in the summer.
towards the southwest? I wish I knew whereabouts the original house was..
Looking over some satellite imaging I did see something interesting, if not related or useful. When they were working on the 35e bridge they had a cleared area that resides in crosby park, at least it is if the map on the park page is correct. Used it to remove debris and such from the bridgework.

According to this...there were apple trees. I wonder if there is a grove of those left there anywhere.
This clue is referring to PIKE ISLAND!!! It seperates the mississippi river and minnesota river. Its just off of Crosby Park.

Say hi to your mom! Tell her to look for apple trees! Good noodle, Terry
Outta's daughter - I bet your Mom will be happy that you shared her bathroom needs. LOL!!

Did this clue really help anyone. I mean I'm not gonna sleep better tonight. I'm whining and I can't stop.

okay shhhhhhhhh
Flooding would be another issue.
Would you suppose any apple orchard/grove would be nearer the original house?

Reggie...why aren't you out there? Did you go to the paper tonight?
Did a search about the gold rush thinking those years might match with the Midas thing - but there's 10 years difference.
I think you've caught up to your mom!! She'll be proud. lol Did you tell her?Â
Como.
My first thought was of the Forty Niners. But it doesn't mean anything to me. Anyone else?

how far east has everyone been in crosby? past the lake at all, close to 35?
Interesting thoughts on the gold rush "49ers" and such. Not sure what it all means -- maybe just that it's the valuable treasure.
I found a couple anagrams.
rests naked = drake nests   or   snakes tread
and ice-covered  =   dice   or    discovered
