Discuss the 2005 Pioneer Press Treasure Hunt here.
Mr. Med Hunter
That's the same one they've been using for the past three years. I think what they are referring to is a medallion that was used in years past before they resurrected the hunt.
I am going to try to do the hunt in NSP this year.....(first-timer) but I won't have much time....after 930ish at night and will have one...maybe 2 times during a 4 hr block in the daylight....
Bummer. I forgot about you hunting after 9:00ish. I was gonna offer to hunt witchew, but... I just can't at nite. My circadian rhythmns won't let me!
Nice one yo! If you guys need anymore let me know - maybe we could create a DONATION list of thingys for them too - I dont mind helping out people in need - seems like they are way deserving of the 5 K!!
48 hours many of them catching up on sleep. I am just starting to catch up on posts - finally made it through this thread.Â
Wow what can I say, this was an awesome hunt! I spent so many hours with all of you, adjusting back into real life is gonna be a struggle. I want to thank each and everyone of you cause you all played a role in making this by far the best hunt I ever participated in.Â
Me2 - What can I say girlfriend, we had a blast too bad our campout was canceled.
Kitch - You rock! Your enthusiasm is contagious! You almost got me to the frogpond!
3M - You nailed the park. The photos were awesome
Ian - Man of few words but you say them with such conviction - Heh
WN and coco - You guys are so cute!!
Ares and TC - Wow talk about above and beyond what you did with Zeph incredible!
Scribe - Always a pleasure to spend time with ya
diggin4 it Again - a toast to many more adventures
Randy Rust and Mikey - So good to see you guys again, thanks for getting the clues for us.
Redbear - Dude forgive me I forgot to call you back and I lost your number will you PLEASE forgive me
KT - thanks for the fire and food
I am sure I have missed many but not intentionally. This family, although slightly disfunctional is incredible. I feel blessed to be a part of it.
Huh... I dunno.... it seems kinda "Indiana Jones"ish.....
I wonder if ya gotta deal with giant boulders falling on you, or snakepits, or angry mobs of hindu warriors, yeilding dangerous weapons, in underground caves...
Web Search Garagetakes over at the far end of what is obvious, where author Tara Calishain explains how to use little-known search engines (particularly specialized ones) and unadvertised features of more famous search tools (mainly Google and Yahoo). She also describes some clever hacks that are engine independent, such as the fact that U.S. states have official URLs ending with their postal abbreviation and .us, as in .wa.usfor the state of Washington. You can narrow searches usefully with that bit of knowledge. To cite another example, you can use the idea of combining Google's wildcard capability with its exact-match search capability in queries like, "there are * types of horse"to yield reasonable-sized lists of useful hits.
I registered for the forums on tweleve.org. There is a lot of information out there about finding the treasures. Anyway, we should make a different thread for this if we are really interested in figuring out the clues.
HELP ME!!!!! My Husband is doing the "6 degrees of separation" game using our screen names and googling them. Every one has some reference to the clues for this years hunt. It's really funny.
Okay, I don't even have the book and I think I am quitting. This thing seems way more complicated than I originally thought. I know me. I will become obsessed and get nothing else finished.
As things stand now, we won't be able to make the movie on Saturday, but if needed, we could throw a couple bucks into the pot for the tickets for the finders.
well not everyone will donate OR be there and I am not gonna hunt everyone down for 50 cents each -so the more donated the better! I can post when there is enough-
i'd love to donate if you still need some dough. i'll be at the RHB for sure if not at the movie!

KC, I'm willing to give autographs at any time.
Kitch, I'm in.
ya ...its tuff huntin' at night.....but with this melting going on.......
Me2, how/when do you want me to get the money to you?
Anyone up for making duplicates of the north st paul medallion if we find it and all turning them in at the same time?
lol, eric. that is a riot.
That would actually be kinda funny :)
That looks like the coolerest ornament ever! I love snowmen so much. don't get me wrong, santa is ok, but snowpeople are cooler.
Eh, they'd just split the prize and you'd all get 5 medallion dollars...
I'm planning on hunting that one, shoot it's close to home for me anyway.

Even though I don't like bugs....it'll give me and Timmers a chance to perfect our stick piling skills.

that link is for something else...sorry....
We are really good at stick piles, but we could always improve!
Bugs like sticks. We like sticks.
I still don't like bugs.

Can we still make stick piles though?
Maybe I should hide a trinket under a stick pile at Crosby and you and Timmers can compete to find it.
KT, did he do 'green'? What'd he find?
