I was down your way in late November to watch a MSU vs Ohio State woman's hockey game at Four Seasons Arena, ESD. Nice town and larger than I expected it to be.

RHB- Afternoon in a cold park that the medallion was hid in. Then moved somewhere warm in the evening near the park location.

Does the Rehash fall on Super Bowl Sunday this year?

Well assuming it is found after clue 7. Then the rehash would fall on Super Bowl Sunday. Does this play a part in trying to plan the rehash?

I actually liked having the RHB the day of the Super Bowl because then I got to really enjoy lots of good food and good company, but didn't feel obligated to invest four hours in a football game that rarely lives up to all the hype pumped into it. The nice thing is that when the Vikings are in the Superbowl. . . oh wait. . . nevermind:(

Kick off isn't until around 5:30. Lots of people don't stick around that late anyway.

It's not just that. It's also the parking issue. In fact, I would say it's primarily the parking issue. Ideally, we'd want everyone to come to the event who had a desire to do so (or so I assume). But if the only parking spot people can find costs $10, they may decide it's not worth it. You'll still get the hardcore people, but you'll be missing out on a lot of people too.

I still like the idea of the Re-hash being at the park... but moving to an inside place, afterwards sounds good too...

If the warm weather continues, maybe we can just have it at a beach? :goofy:

as far as the PDG, I dont know.... seems like every year, theres always a headache with McG's and a few people not wanting to have it there...

I personally have no problem with the place, and/or will be happy going almost anyplace - as long as they have drinks and music (jukeboxes are nice), and possibly food.

10th annual ReHash Bash? at Cherokee Park, of course. I'll even show you where I found it.

I'm in the keep it at McGovern's camp. If not there, I'd like to see it stay downtown because of the accessibility of hotels, taxis, and breakfast (after bar) spots.

Re: the Rehash. I like having it in a park, but it would be nice if we could be at a place with a building.

It would be nice if the Pre-Dig Gig could stay at McGoverns. But valid points have been raised.

Maybe it would be best if we didn't decide anything this Saturday, made a list of pertinents (parking, size of room, cost if any, locale, minimum tab, ages allowed, etc.) and then picked some places that fit our requirments and then approached them over the coming year.

I think we usually tend to act too fast.

The Re-Hash Bash will always be held in the park The Med was found in, the Sunday following the finding of The Med. Adjourning to a warmer setting to continue is a great idea and may be something we could add to what we present to where ever The Pre-Dig Gig mite possibly move to.

We could then guarantee two visits to the [maybe] new place. Also, this would give people an opportunity to pick/choose what they want to do - one or both. This mite be a real bonus.

I think a new venue (next year) would be good, for the PDG.

Someplace with lots of parking (Joseph's comes to mind as a suggestion) and where people who arrive and leave alone would feel safer doing so.

RHB - yep, always have to include the park where the med was found, but would be nice to continue the festivities indoors afterwards, for those who'd like to do so.

I have never been a huge fan of McGovern's, but it has been the place where we go. I don't remember if it was before McGovern's or after that we tried another place further down on W. 7th - I think it was called "Season's"? (It's a mexican place now)

Anyway -- THAT place made McGovern's seem like the best place ever! They served steaks that were supposedly the same as the Cherokee sirloin room....we joked that they were from the Cherokee - the night before!

I forget about wanting a new place to hang out each year until about December or January, and then it's pretty much too late to do anything about till the following year.

I'm really going to do some research on some different place for next year! Try to get us a good location great deals on drinks and a place to really have a party!

This is something that I am good at so I'll take the rains on this one if anyone has any objects please let me know before I put all kinds of time and energy in to this.

That bar by Indian Mounds? I've never actually been there so I can't comment much on it. I'd still say Joseph's. I'm worried that Mom will prove right though that now that the hunt is started and the event over, people will forget about it until next year again and then claim it's too late to do anything about it.
