I hate the park for hunting , but i love how you cant stay away from cutting through that place, when you gotta go somewhere.... its a habit and it never gets old.

Why don't you see the number of unread messages any more when you go to Able Minds Forum? I like to follow the posts in Able Minds Forum Discussions, but can't see new ones any more.
It doesn't show new posts at Members Folders either, but at least I know which discussion I'm heading for there. But there are a few other places here that I visit, and it's just nice when you can see if there's been any activity in those discussions too.
I hope it's only temporary.
ETA: Forget about the Members Folders. When you click on that, you can see the new posts. But not at Forum Discussion. Oh well.
