Read them in order - which I don't know what that order is. But the books use 'dead' periods when Sherlock was idle in Doyle's works.

My fave was the Hinckly Fire one, second the Rune Stone one, third the Ice Palace one. I'm a lovere and sucker for history - maybe Millett honed his history in reverse of the previous?

Green's right. Read them in order because he references the previous books in the newer ones. There are actually five. I picked up the ones I didn't own at the library. Dakota County Library has them.

I guess I liked the Ice Palace Murders because of the subject and the Rune Stone Mystery because we summered in Alex when I was growing up. But they're all fun. The Secret Alliance has a lot about the Stone Arch Bridge. The Disappearance of Sherlock Holmes takes place in Chicago, so not as interesting to me.

Hates the NEW PP Boards and not going to be posting there at all I know Jake is over there alot so I think I will stay right here

I just signed up for the PP boards, not sure if I will use them or not.. sometimes I just like to poke around and see what people say.

I should read that book someday.

I think I have them all - I know I have the Ice Palace in 2 hard covers and at least 1 soft cover, maybe 2. At least one signed.

They are on EBay cheap.

Cool. I'll just keep a lookout for a cheap deal on one. Just want to read it once or so, so I don't need a fancy copy :smile:

So...when registering a Winter Carnival button online, I thought there was a number on the button/card that had to be submitted with the registration?

Nope. No number. You get assigned a number when you register the button.

Someone can correct me if I am wrong (a buddy bought my button and mailed the registration for me this year so I didn't do the online thing), but I remember Kat saying that they screwed up this year and forgot to put numbers on the buttons, so they are allowing people to register without a number and are just trusting that the people doing so actually have a button.

I'm back from Australia! I realize that this is ridiculously late, but my condolences go to Nicole and her family. I can't begin to imagine what you are going through.
