methinks that would get them into a *lot* of trouble, chem. the dealership that sold my brother his first car was under investigation by mike hatch's office a while back. apparently, the ag's office had a sworn statement that they had no knowledge of who my brother was. i would like to have been a mouse in the corner of the room when they were presented with the copies of the invoice my brother still had and sent to the ag's office that said they did :)
encourage them to read your letter before they do business there. that should get their attention??
I've felt like doing that at Southview many times. I have been a jerk a few times while waiting for a shuttle though. They said it would wait for me but ended up leaving to bring a salesman to an appointment in Wisconsin. I made a comment to every person who came in that they better be real certain that the vehicle they were looking for doesn't need any repairs or have any recalls. Otherwise be prepared to spend an entire day waiting for their so-called on-time shuttle service. I even scheduled the repair for when the shuttle was running because I had my, then 4 year old with me. Plus, I let them know that I only lived about 1 mile away. After bugging about 10-15 potential customers, the dispatch lady called the shuttle and had them turn around and come back. That finally worked out OK, but the so-called 'covered' recall ended up costing me $300.00. And that was without a phone call. They said it was necessary repairs that weren't covered by the recall. I guess this is similar to sending your steak back at a restaurant.
Oh well, I'll definitely get off of the subject of Southview and dealerships in general because we've been over this before and it does nothing more than piss people off. Sorry bla bla bla
KT - I too work in the car business and what Chris said is kind of what I was getting at. IF you signed the title (which you *probably* did when you signed the contract) that dealership is going to need you to sign one of those "did not buy" forms. I assume they didn't actually send the title in to the State, or you'd have a title to a vehicle you didn't own.
Good Luck at any rate!! I can't imagine why they all would want to make your life so difficult when all you wanted to do was not buy the car.
Any-hoo....on to happier thoughts.... Only 5 days till the pre dig gig! I heard that there's a hockey game that night, so be prepared to get there early or late to (try to) avoid a parking nightmare. I don't remember for sure, but I think there was a game last year as well. I went with a friend, and we had to park a little ways away, but it wasn't too bad....we were over off of Chestnut a block east of 7th.
I did read all your messages, and will respond to them tomorrow, but I am deeply touched by your replies to my goo. However, because I need to keep the humor in my life, tonight I ask Ian... If Joe was a crack-head, shouldn't it look like this: ---/---/---/---/? stitches can leave marks, ya know?
My kids are doing just fine. Now that 2 of them are in school, I'm hoping I'll have a little help digging! Not gonna hold my breath though - they are cold weather wimps!
A couple of days of hunting will change that in a hurry. As long as you have some warm cider or hot chocolate for them. Even do a little hunt of your own where you know they'll find something. I did it during AW's hunt with some McDonalds toys. Pretty fun when they find it. You feel for them in a way.
True....there's nothing to dig THROUGH right now! But I expect I'll still be asking them to be outside for oh - I don't know - a half hour at a time!? Unreasonable, bad mom!
Hi everyone- sorry to everyone having car/house troubles - I have no specialty advice to give on THOSE subjects ;) But I hope it works out for you- nothing is ever easy. Except spending money - Using the credit cards :) that I can do easy.
It work's even better if it's a toy they haven't seen yet. They really think they found something then. I haven't used it when there are other kids around, but I can see telling them that all the kids are looking for the same toy as they are. Maybe get them involved with the other kids. Who knows. I'll bring a little something in case I bump into you guys while my little one and I are out and about.
got to talk to chris tonight, sounds like he's starting to regret all that he has done, I guess they are pretty strict up there. we will see when he gets home!
LL - Sounds like he's at least wishing he wasn't there so that's a good thing. If he can put that together with what needs to happen to not end up there again, then he and you will have a solution.
He's only been there a few days. I suspect that things will change some for him if he behaves and does what he's told. Once he learns how to get along there, being there a bit longer won't be so bad.
"he shows up on his knees with a bouquet of roses for every female in the room with a pouting look on his face"..... Forgive me?
An employee of mine just had his kid fired and brought up on theft charges from Sears. Do you know if it's now true that the parents are responsible for the restitution?

Hey-good ideas Chem!
Did you buy the house directly from the owners and before 1/1/03? If so, you could be SOL.
I wish ya luck regardless.
Hey what's up everybody
just slogged the last couple hundred msgs.

My kids are doing just fine. Now that 2 of them are in school, I'm hoping I'll have a little help digging! Not gonna hold my breath though - they are cold weather wimps!
Yeah, but it hasn't been that cold. They may not have to dig...

We have so many of those crappy happy meal toys - I can pull some out of the drawer and they'll be all excited thinking they are new.

I think he is going to be there longer but I can't tell him that cuz I'm afraid he will get an attitude and stop trying as hard.
CM - You'd better duck and that table isn't any protection.
