Today is Wednesday, right? Guess that means only a few more days now. Doesn't seem quit as crazy at this point as I seem to recall in past years. I guess people are still finding their way here. Is the PP even offering a thread for this yet?

I think they've waited until the day the hunt starts to put up a thread before. It's just that there were formerly other threads around also to chat in in the meantime.

remember though, they pulled the shoot the breeze thread shortly after september 11th when it got too heated there (and green wondered why scribe and thx and i turned the new medallion hunt thread into a shoot the breeze thread on our own.
I seem to recall last year Jake called them up and pestered them about putting up the thread for the new year so he could get post #1.

At the wild game last night, some people were passing out rosters, with information on the back. They said that the employees of the Pioneer PRess have been without a contract since last July, and the management are being jerks, etc... I guess they blamed it mainly on Knight Ridder, because KR's CEO promised a 25% increase in value or something like that, so KR is forcing the PP to cut back costs, etc...

my personal opinion is that since its the saint paulwinter carnival, the pp ought to keep the medallion within the city limits all the time.
But not all the people that subscribe to the PP are living within the city limits.
this is true. the converse of that argument is of course that not all the people who subscribe to the pp are living within the county limits either.
