Don't get me wrong - I much prefer to hunt within the city limits. It has however been outside those said limits many times in the past and once outside the county.

Medallionators begin preperations for 2003 Medallion Hunt
\09The die hards, rookies, and the fair-weather treasure hunters had all better be ready. The Medallionators, a newly formed team of expert treasure hunters, are prepared to take on their most serious challenge as a team, the Pioneer Press Medallion Hunt.
\09Mike and Don Madland, who found the Pioneer Press Medallion in 1988 at Tony Schmidt Park in Arden Hills, head the team. Jake Ingebrigtson, a relative newcomer to the hunt, adds his expertise of Treasure Hunt history. This past summer, the Medallionators had a 100% success rate in "Mock Hunts", which are hunts created by treasure hunters who wish to keep one another sharp during the summer months. "Don and myself were the winners of both hunts we participated in last summer, and we plan to continue our winning ways in January" said Ingebrigtson, who met the Madlands during the 2002 hunt. Mike, the elder Madland, said "I don't plan on actually hunting much, my job will be to guide Jake and Don to make sure they know the in's and out's of the hunt, and to make sure they are hunting in the right place."The medallion has been targeted for Medallionation" was all Don Madland had to say in regards to the upcoming hunt.
\09Aiding the Medallionators for this years hunt will be "The Medallionator", a 1991 Chevy full sized van complete with a television and GPS system. Watch for "The Medallionator" at the paper for the clue releases during this years hunt.
\09The Pioneer Press Medallion Hunt has been an annual event in St. Paul since 1952 and takes place during the St. Paul Winter Carnival.

Ian, There were 4 hunts 2 were given by Jake so he couldn't hunt for the medallions
He basically should just stay home and watch where everyone goes and then go out and look over where everyone has already been---Like he did for both hunts
Jake would NOT have been in Phalen if it were not for ME2!
where did the guy (name Escapes me) FROM LAST YEAR ...who claimed to be jesus christ go??? the one who said he was gonna show up at pre-dig post dig etc??
he was real foul mouthed and toothy?? i AM SURE SOMEONE REMEBERS....
no idea, randy. he's probably one of those guys who none of us had an email address for, and never signed anyone's guest book, and so we couldn't tell him we moved. not that i personally miss the guy or anything.
They should hide the medallion on Maui, and fly all Carnival Button owners down to hunt.
...on public land, of course. Lots of sand to dig.
It is not called the Ramsey Press
I agree with Ares - only St Paul
but I like your idea too human24
