Good for you Terry!

Thanks for the bday wishes everyone!!

Terry hope your mom feels better soon. You gotta love when there is an answer for everything. If they were honest up front and said hey there were 2 lists looks like something was overlook and now we need to fix it....everything would be ok...but no..lets lie a bit and see if we can have you spinning in circles so you dont know we screwed up!!!! I HATE COMPANIES LIKE THAT!!! Good luck!

HaY, Master!  Nice o'you to ask.

Doin' pretty good.  Had second xam last nite...  Was really sweating it as I didn't hardly study (review copious class notes; read/re-read text) and went into it basically on what I absorbed in class.  Know I missed three on the mutiple guess, and they're 1 or 2 pts. each.  Flew by the seat o'my pants on the three essay questions.  Basically got them correct, but will depend how much he takes off for not following through on thoughts and fleshing out/adding to issues.

Hoping for another B, but will be close.  But on the whole, really happy!  Test was WAY WAY easier than I thought it would be.  Was afraid I was going to completely fail.  Test was on controversy in the arts, and visual arts from paleolithic France up to and including Post Impressionism (van Gogh).

If I get a B, it will be two B's on xams, an A (7.5% of grade) on the essays, and an A in class participation.  All in all, doin' damn good!  :D  Still to go are two xams, one o'which is the final; three reviews: a piece o'art, a movie; a musical production; and eight more essays (7.5% o'grade).

Not outta the woods, but should be otay.  (said knocking wood...)

Thanks for the interest!  :D

Ah...  Rite here...  Shoot The Breeze.

Or did I miss something?  Maybee didn't look close enuff at that place...

What's so special about that place?

Wed, 03/09/2005 - 8:35 AM Permalink
Clue Master

Not the place itself - the organized manner of how they have the special dates arranged for their people.

I like the birthdays listed though. That would be cooler.

Why can't we just add dates to one o'the exsisting folders we have?  Forcryinginabucket, we don't NEED a folder just for burfdays!  We've a gazillion already!

Besides... it gives ya more to look at, when your bored

No we don't.  Just a list is all I'm looking for.

I put things on my calendar but that calendar is tossed at the end of the year.  Then I slog back to see where we were a year ago.

I was trying to find Jake's B-day for some reason and couldn't remember when it was.  I think LL's is Friday, WN's is next Wednesday, FB's is Friday and TV & Inks anniversary is on Sunday.

Paper calendar smart guy  ;-)

And I don't know how to cut & paste in real life

I'm thinking OT or TV might already have something typed up somewhere.  Or maybe it's just in their heads.

I can't remember the site, but there is a place online you can enter all your stuff on a calandar and they'll send e-mail reminders. I just don't like puttin in personal info to strangers. I've been "invited" to that site a few times. Wish I could remember the name now.

Who's mutt and Jeff?

HAHA OT!  I knew you had those voices.  I've seen you arguing with yourself before.

And thanks for the Jake thing.  I remember wishing him Happy B-day recently but couldn't remember when it was.

An Irishman's Philosophy:
There are only two things to worry about: Either you are well or you are sick. If you are well, then there is nothing to worry about.

But if you are sick, there are two things to worry about: Either you will get well or you will die. If you get well, then there is nothing to worry about.

But if you die, there are two things to worry about: Either you will go to heaven or you will go to hell. If you go to heaven, then you have nothing to worry about.

But if you go to hell, you'll be so damn busy shaking hands with all your friends, then you won't have time to worry!

Say, Digger?  You still job hunting?  And graphic arts, rite?  I think I've run across one or two - you want me to e-gram them to you?  (If I can find them again and you're interested.)

That would be cool green thanks.

Good news!

My Mom's stress test was passed with flying colors today - even after they kicked it up a notch or two above the point they usually go. Her heart is strong and healthy. No sign of any blockage or other heart disease. They sent her home.

I, too, had some good news today.  NOWHERE near as good as Ter's, but still good news that's got me doing a Snoopy dance...

Did some testing for a job last Fri.  Those that were in-the-know said, "You'd BETTER pass your tests!"  And me, ever the eternal optimist, said "How can I NOT pass?   I've been doing this crap for over 20 years!"

Pride goeth before a fall.  And I'm way, WAY, super supersticious...  After saying the above, and taking the tests not feeling up to snuff and just wanting to sleep for like 60 hours...  I started doing what I always do...  Second guessing myself and breaking a bead.

Reader's Digest version:  Got a ton o'gray hairs for nuttin'!  Passed with flying colours and HAVE A JOB INTERVIEW FRIDAY!!!

<wiping sweat off brow>

Now, if I don't like do something horrible - like puke or fart or pick my nose or dis somebuddy - I SHOULD have a job...

IhopeIhopeIhope!  No jobs bein' shunted off to India, Mexico, or China!!!!! No big bidness!!!  Just working for *me* and givin' me good warm fuzzies for helping, contributing, mattering, affecting, assisting, aiding.  Doing sumpin' IMPORTANT.   Man, would it feel GOOD.

T'would be nice to get outta manufacturing (I left 3M...), and STAY out.

Ter!  It was like six (6) tests in one!!!! Word, Excel, typing (speed/accuracy), matching sets of number/letter combos (Same?/Different?), subsitution of words in sentances where the word means the same thing (synonyms), and spelling/grammer sentances.

And MY grammar was in the kitchen making cookies!!!

The Word stuff I've not done since I left 3M... What?  Six? Seven years ago?  And the Excel stuff was nuttin' I use now...

It was '2000' stuff (icons/placement/where you find what you wanna do) and I'm into NT!!!!

Like WHO can REMEMBER where the 2000 buttons ARE???!!!!

Talk about coming out smelling like a rose...

Purty good.  And you?

Whenever I see your name, I think o'your trip (was that last year?), and the pic o'you that was posted that looked like you were balancing a fish tank on your head!

Frosti

Which pic was that? I may have had a few beers on that trip, but I don't remember putting fish on my head!

Thu, 03/10/2005 - 7:59 AM Permalink
green

No, no.  It wasn't from your trip.

It was just a pic o'you.  And the way/where you were standing - kind'a at an angle (to the viewer's right, your left) - it looked like you were balancing about a 20 gal fishtank on your head.  Think may have been your avatar?

Doubt you were in a pet store/fish shop, but it just looked like a fish tank to me.  I've always liked that pic.
