Besides, a cook-out is more in the spirit of the hunt that we Cooler HeadS have just finished - it all began and ended at CP, and that's where we need to meet.
A new tradition!!! Every year after the hunt, that Sunday we return to the Med hunt location to cry, laugh, curse... tell tall tales maybe, get reaquainted with old Heads, welcome the new Heads.
COOLER HEADS WILL PREVAIL!!!! HAIL COOLER HAND LUKE!!!
I'm not going to make it a tradition to whine about how I lost, I'm going to be making a tradition of listing off things I'm buying with my new medallion. Heh.
If you haven't found out by now, Mr. Tomski, I REALLY WAS JOKING about the bomb threats! I was just having a bad week, what with the divorce and all. However, if you all want me to, I really WILL blow up the stump! Just give me your OK's, everyone!
I can't imagine anyone being so up and chipper right now...and I don't feel like congratulating a soul (although I probably will later). Gawd, I'm depressed. I was sooooo close. Will dig faster next year!
Hey all. Just heard the news. Was it someone from the Cooler? Well, I just wanna say that I had one helluva time this year, and I will see you all at CP on Sunday. By the way, what IS proper 'Cooler Attire?'
Big Bad Joe: You said what with the divorce and all. My comment "why didn't you blow her up" save money on lawyers and you get the kids, house, dog, car, etc.
The winners had looked at the cooler messages, that's it.
Proper cooler attire had been explained before as a non-wintry white object (towel, bandanna) over dark clothing, or winter attire such as a scarf in the incorrect place, like wrapped around the arm. I had a white towel around my left calf.
Am I ever disgusted! I should've taken the day off from work, after all. I was digging late (early) into the night and again this morning until work called. I hope they aren't lying about searching for it for all those years -- it makes the wound hurt a little less (Kind of like a band-aid, I guess!) This is probably my last hunt; I'm relocating in a couple of weeks to a warmer locale for flight attendant training. Next year, I hope I'll at least have access to the Water Cooler! I'm already suffering serious withdrawal:( I hope to be at the picnic Sunday - would be nice to see you all! I'd also like to reconnect with those I met in line during the past few nights, like "Kevin Costner" and the "Butt Man", but , alas, it's not to be. Best of Luck to one and all next year!:)
Clue explanations will go up as soon as we can get the mysterious clue writer to provide them. Since I have NO idea who that is, all I can say is that they'll be posted soon.
Check back tonight at about 8 p.m. We should have them by then. Plus a profile of the winners.
Sorry Iam at work and was unable to get the bad news untill was done in a meeting. Atleast i will be able to get some sleep tonight. It does bug me that the winners did not contibute to the cooler that just stole our hard work. Shooting star is going to be mad!!!!!
