Mounds double division theory? Anyone?

Mr. Know it All, Wright Winger?

Hwy 35E to 94E exit Mounds Blvd, turn right...follow straight to Mounds Park

Sun, 02/01/1998 - 8:09 PM Permalink
Josh Wright

The lines of double division might mean the B.N. & Soo Line Railroads near Mounds.

And the 3 pyramids? I've been in Mounds for days...no pyramids unless you call the Indian Mounds pyramids because they both are burial grounds...but they're not "over the snow." They're under it. Any thoughts?

Cheryl Straight

I understand why it wouldn't be just anywhere downtown, but has it ever been found in a downtown park?

Sun, 02/01/1998 - 8:12 PM Permalink
AllieGo

I have a very sound theory for double division at Mounds, but I'm lost with the Pyramids.

Geez...I'm going to rip apart these clues...there's gotta be something more that I'm not seeing.

Two Sisters

Patrick - two sisters here. I wish someone would find the darn thing so I wouldn't keep being drawn back to this. What happened to CP - abandonned?

Sun, 02/01/1998 - 8:15 PM Permalink
Patrick Budion

Allie, I think your 1st post was #145 and you thought it was Mounds. Where do you think it is now?

Sun, 02/01/1998 - 8:15 PM Permalink
Josh Wright

Yo, Nate. Howdid you get that photo up there? I tried to do it in prefs, but had no luck.

Sun, 02/01/1998 - 8:16 PM Permalink
Patrick Budion

I think CP is the hottest right now 2 sis.

Sun, 02/01/1998 - 8:16 PM Permalink
Two Sisters

Allie Go - We agree. We think we're missing something in the clues - at this point they are still pretty general. What about "immeasurable riches"? Anything in that?

Sun, 02/01/1998 - 8:17 PM Permalink
tomski

kthc: are you out there?

Sun, 02/01/1998 - 8:18 PM Permalink
Patrick Budion

Immeasurable: could be the views from the bluff, you don't really know how far away things are.

Sun, 02/01/1998 - 8:19 PM Permalink
AllieGo

I'm leaning towards Cherokee now..the three pyramids and the double division..and Baker Street. But my intuition says Mounds. And that might not be very good to rely on.

Sun, 02/01/1998 - 8:19 PM Permalink
Two Sisters

Patrick - have you been out to CP today? We were there last night/early this morning.

Sun, 02/01/1998 - 8:19 PM Permalink
AllieGo

I have no theory for immeasurable riches except Duke of Earl..bu then you've got King Street too. This guy is working us.

Sun, 02/01/1998 - 8:20 PM Permalink
Patrick Budion

Was there all day, convinced it's there. Trying to figure out how they will hone in on the site. Any ideas?

Sun, 02/01/1998 - 8:21 PM Permalink
AllieGo

Years ago they had a clue referring to the county line...very similar to this year's clue.

Sun, 02/01/1998 - 8:22 PM Permalink
Nathan.Trivette

PEOPLE PEOPLE!!!!! THE ROSEBUD LINE MAY REFER TO A GIANT MANSION, WHICH ALSO EXPLAINS THE IMMEASUREABLE RICHES.... AND SEE MY THEORY ON THE CODE CRACKING ON THE PREVIOUS PAGES.....

Sun, 02/01/1998 - 8:22 PM Permalink
tomski

I think all you clueless hunters have double vision!

Sun, 02/01/1998 - 8:23 PM Permalink
AllieGo

Okay...I just "created" my theory on immeasurable riches....the only thing that we can't measure in life is "Joy."

Sun, 02/01/1998 - 8:24 PM Permalink
Patrick Budion

Mr. ski, help us , don't jeer us.

Sun, 02/01/1998 - 8:24 PM Permalink
AllieGo

Geez...I think that's even biblical.

Sun, 02/01/1998 - 8:25 PM Permalink
Patrick Budion

Joy street runs into water street below the bluff.

Sun, 02/01/1998 - 8:25 PM Permalink
Patrick Budion

At some point they will have to use signs like "no golfing", no parking this side of street" or some other recognizable very local landmark.

Sun, 02/01/1998 - 8:29 PM Permalink
AllieGo

My double division at Mounds is this: Mounds Street and Mounds Blvd divides up at Earl...the same point where the RR tracks divide up.

Sun, 02/01/1998 - 8:29 PM Permalink
Josh Wright

I think we are all missing the word "almost" in clue #5.

Sun, 02/01/1998 - 8:29 PM Permalink
Rob Norris

hey what park is this Joy and Water street by

Sun, 02/01/1998 - 8:30 PM Permalink
Nathan.Trivette

go ALLIE GO!! YOU MAY BE ONTO SOMETHING WITH THE JOY.... BUT WHAT ABOUT LOVE??? ANY STREETS WITH THAT NAME ANYONE???

Sun, 02/01/1998 - 8:31 PM Permalink
AllieGo

Okay..Joe...any thoughts on almost immeasurable...I'm open to anything new.

Sun, 02/01/1998 - 8:31 PM Permalink
Two Sisters

Patrick - don't know how they will hone in on the site, but you're right, they will have to give some sort of specific location. When we were there, we tried to pick places that they could describe - at the end of Winona street in the park, between two clumps of trees, by a split tree, on a straight line with the large object in view and the pyramids. Don't know. All I can think is that it is really packed beneath the ice and snow. I wish I knew how far in advance they hide the thing.

Sun, 02/01/1998 - 8:32 PM Permalink
Patrick Budion

Good point Josh, could be the difference between 3,000 and 4,000 dollars depending on if someone is registered.

Sun, 02/01/1998 - 8:32 PM Permalink
tomski

Hey,KTHC,are you out there

Sun, 02/01/1998 - 8:33 PM Permalink
Westsiders

Nathan- could you lay off the capital letters? I feel like I'm being hollered at. Thanks.

Sun, 02/01/1998 - 8:33 PM Permalink
Two Sisters

Are the clues this year really vague, or are we missing some deep hidden meaning, such as the joy theory Allie is on to?

Sun, 02/01/1998 - 8:34 PM Permalink
Patrick Budion

Joy and water below the bluff from Cher. Water goes past Harriet Island, but I consider that out.

Sun, 02/01/1998 - 8:34 PM Permalink
No user inform…

WE'VE ALL BEEN FOOLED....SEVERAL PEOPLE HEADED TO BAKER PARK, JUST DOWN THE ROAD FROM CHEROKEE, A THREE CUP BRA WAS FOUND OVER THERE....COULD BE THE

THREE PYRAMIDS. LET'S GO!

Sun, 02/01/1998 - 8:35 PM Permalink
Patrick Budion

I see the clues as fairly clear, don't read too deep and be patient.

Sun, 02/01/1998 - 8:36 PM Permalink
MEDALLION MANIACS!

wasn't it "almost" immeasurable? my thought for what it's worth- perhaps medallion is clipped on back of silver tape measure-it would be hard to see in the ice

Sun, 02/01/1998 - 8:36 PM Permalink
Patrick Budion

Good joke Amanda, at least I think it was a joke.

Sun, 02/01/1998 - 8:37 PM Permalink
