This is "I", and yes, SOME of the clues could point to SEVERAL different parks, But they ALL point to CP.

I think there may be some significance to race and pace, but don't know what. Could they refer to ACE as in cards, or a hardware store. Or does it refer to a jogging path?? Any ideas???

Catch 22

Just came from Cherokee and Mounds. Lots of people at both. I must say the people looking at Cherokee are a lot nicer! The people at Mounds must be on work release from the county jail (about that sociable) Cherokee is dug up as H**L. Whole lot of people hanging around the bathroom area. Could it be on the roof?

Jay and Greg: It is definitely at Baker. In fact, if you go exactly 56 paces toward the tower from the bathroom facilities, near the sliding hill, it should be 4 inches down. See you at midnight for a celebratory refreshment.

How are you so sure Spike's Boss?

Sun, 02/01/1998 - 9:28 PM Permalink
Alan and Jill

MikeM: We've heard it's about 2 inches in diameter and is a clear/blue plastic. Don't quote us on that, that's just what we've heard.

here's a few stretches:

Pace= container or maybe a speed limit sign

to + fro= Teeter totter (sign with speed limmit sign at CP)

Win= Winona St. (also city street)

Is Baker really considered a park?

Double Division = sign that says "Division of Parks and Recreation?"

Sun, 02/01/1998 - 9:34 PM Permalink
First Timer

**CLUE #4** If you switch the "de" and the "mo" in "demo" it makes "mode."

If you switch the "per" and the "sue" in "pursue" it makes "suepur" or "super."

The next line of the clue mentions the word "mother."

Anybody else see the "Super Mom's" sigh on the corner of Robert and Annapolis?

Has the medallion ever been found buried in ice because that's all that is left....

Sun, 02/01/1998 - 9:35 PM Permalink
Catch 22

Yes one year it was buried under 8" of ice!

Sun, 02/01/1998 - 9:36 PM Permalink
Patrick Budion

Yes

Does anyone else think that "double division" refers to the boundaries for the city and the county that are in common? This would point to Cherokee Park but not Mounds.

I think that all the people that are writting the clues are laughing about all the people that are at the wrong parks! THE MEDALLION IS AT COMO! COMO, COMO, COMO!

The Woman and I, where do I go when I go to the page you told me to go to?

Sun, 02/01/1998 - 9:41 PM Permalink
Catch 22

In clue #4 it says "first you'll have to crack our code. So here's a demo of the mode to pursue" I think that this is saying the rest of the clues will be in code like "demo, mode = dome". Just a thought, but do any of the other clues have anagrams like this?

Sun, 02/01/1998 - 9:41 PM Permalink
Jake Jones

Well blow me down! The medallion is still not at either of those parks!

Sun, 02/01/1998 - 9:41 PM Permalink

That sign is very much at Mounds on Thorn and Earl.

I don't think that the words zoom, race, and keep up the pace refer to sledding. If "Rosebud" refers to sled, couldn't it mean a snowmobile? Is McCarron Beach considered a park? You can see the smoke stack from Roselawn ave. and Rice Street. It's right between the golf dome (a place to play in the winter) and the go-kart track (a place kids like to zoom). That could also explain the words race, track, and pace.

CB15 - That takes you directly to the clue page. Is that what you needed?

Dave

So how has The Woman And I been doing, where all have you been looking lately and how much time have you put in now? I'm kinda thinking it is attatched to a pace picante sauce cap, buried in the ground, near but not next to the double division (annapolis)in the southeast (more eastern) part of the park, where the three pyramids come into view. Cherokee that is! "you'll soon be back" near "City streets" right????

Sun, 02/01/1998 - 9:45 PM Permalink
CB15

I think so

Sun, 02/01/1998 - 9:46 PM Permalink
Patrick Budion

Dave I think you are correct.

Sun, 02/01/1998 - 9:46 PM Permalink
Catch 22

In clue #8 if you use the anagram thing you can change "pace" to "cape" and "race" to "care" and who would wear a cape and care---------Super Mom!!!
