It's time for the Medallion Hunt! The first clue will appear on PioneerPlanet just after midnight Saturday, Jan. 22. Come back here to compare notes with other treasure seekers, but be certain you read the rules on the Planet's Winter Carnival page.

Oh, you guys still send messages on this board? By the way, does anyone know what happened with the Spring/Summer Treasure Hunt that was being talked about
back in March??? I can't remember who it was that was planning it but I know the person went to alot of work. Does anyone remember??
There was a hunt of sorts being planned, but a couple of things just didn't meld this time so that it would work. We're hopeful by next spring, all things will fall into
Just let me know Terry! Hey,while I have you, please tell me why you guys hunt for goat heads!!!?? Why goat heads? Why Duluth? Why shopping malls? Is there a
plce I can get these answers? The coolercrew site doesn't satisfy my curiosity enough!
Let me see if I can explain it so that it does make sense.
We love to hunt things for prizes and following clues. After the medallion hunt a couple of years ago, we were talking about other hunts during the year. Someone
mentioned a bock hunt in New Ulm at Schell's brewery. Several people headed there...late February...and that hunt took place out in a state park near there. I
wasn't able to participate in that one.
We then heard that Fitger's in Duluth had a bock hunt in March. We called to get information and the next thing you know, we were headed north to hunt those
bocks.
The Fitger's hunt is in the mall there so it's really quite comfortable to hunt there....no boots, shovels, jackets...and it's about 4 hours long.
Bock is a German word for goat head. It's also a type of beer.
We hunt bocks (goat heads) cause they are huntable! Don't know how else to explain it.
I don't know how the prize thing works at Schell's, but the Fitger's goat heads are good for prizes at the mall. This past March, my husband's find got us $25.00
worth of wine from the wine sellar!
Other prizes were for dinner at a restaurant there for 4, a night in the hotel, other certificates to spend in the shops, and I think there was one cash prize.
Glad to hear it Jake! I know you are driven (great word to describe you) but you need to take time for fun too!! You are only 20 once in your life, enjoy it!!
