Here are my top choices: Hidden Falls, Crosby, Phalen, Highland, and Hillcrest! I strongly suggest that you guys pick up the Treasure Hunters Guide, I love it!
And the "airport post office" in Eagan is open 24/7--ask for a hand cancel after 6 pm--YOU CAN NOT HAND DELIVER THE POSTCARD--it must be sent US Mail....
Try calling Hunters Press at 2141 Palace Ave. in St. Paul. That were the book has been sold in the past. I purchased my directly from Steve last year. He's pretty quick at sending it out.
As far as the clues, I still am circling St. Paul because it states clearing St. Paul and not Ramsey Cty. as it usually does. The capital is one on my list because of the "gold" horses, war monument, 1st Bank sign, steer - old stockyard. But please help me if I've totally misguiding my predictions.
I was out today by myself and tonight with hubby. We went to Allison's park and it looked good. We also went to my park (Iris) and many of the clues fit, but is a bit more of a stretch than Allison's park.
Earlier today I went to West Minnihaha and I have removed that from the list. I am wondering about Hidden Falls - but it is a park and not a rec center.
There were a few people out an about but no real action.
#1 This park has been the place for many gold medals, and is within the city limits of St. Paul. Many duels or contests have taken place in this park (and continue to), as well as many dualities concern it - only one of which was that you had to "keep on your toes."
#2 Stay off private ground and don't mess with any statues or golf courses.
#3 Circular thinking/linking refers to bicyles. This is part of one of the dualities.
#4 East and west is another duality of the park, but which is correct? Playing referrs to playing fields in the park.
Otay, otay! I'll got bock to The Frog Pond. I didn't find Bee while we were there, and it hasn't Been dug out. Which is kind'a weird...
I was told there is an old stockyard close by the capital, not sure where. My resource knows quite a bit about the area. He's live here all his 64 years and he would steer me wrong.
I'm not sure where the old stockyard is, but I'll ask my friend tomorrow. Hopefully, tonight's clue will guide us a little more. I'm anxious to start digging.
Jake, you've ONLY spent all o'Sat nite and all o'last nite with Steve!!! Could have gotten a book anytime!!! Yeah. I'm gonna put on some more clothes - I FROZE today - and head to the meeting joint.
I gotta head out. I tell you, I'll never Bee able to see a movie from the same mind set I used to. All actors/actresses and film makers have my respect.
Ms. Green--I got a very weird feeling from a guy driving a St.Paul city truck last night at the paper--drove by 7 times from 10:50 to 11:40 when the paper came out--stopped me on the way home and asked me where people are saying the medallion is....
I was there tonight - It's on Jackson and University - Up on some cliffs - Kind of tricky to find - Right behind the Capitol and Regions hospital - Jill
Well, we all know who has a copy of the guide.
It sux for me though, cuz if I find the Med, i would only get $5,000, cuz I didn't get a button in time
the back of mine says 14 bucks jake. steve, if you're reading this kickbacks for referrals are appreciated :-). well, not really.
Here are my top choices: Hidden Falls, Crosby, Phalen, Highland, and Hillcrest! I strongly suggest that you guys pick up the Treasure Hunters Guide, I love it!
Dude you can still get a button and get it postmarked by midnight tomorrow.
Ohwell, 5000 is plenty enough for me... I don't even have to answer any stupid questions either
dude, you can still get in on the extra 5 grand. it has to be postmarked by tomorrow. you've got exactly 26 hours and 48 minutes.
really?! That's awesome! I thought it had to be postmarked before tomarrow

I find it incredibly hard to believe that "med-hider" would place the treasure in a park with construction.
I'm going for 10000! I got the clues clipped out and a have a button!
midnight the 25th, so go and visit your local post office and have the clerk round date the post card for you.
joe--even when tim's not here I just can't hit these...

BRB, i gotta go switch comps. I'm on a really crappy mac right now.
anyway, enough technical talk... see yall in like 2 min.
I'm kinda w/ you TD
The capitol is an old stockyard? I did not know that.
Hi all-
I was out today by myself and tonight with hubby. We went to Allison's park and it looked good. We also went to my park (Iris) and many of the clues fit, but is a bit more of a stretch than Allison's park.

My Take On The Clues:

Green- I lost your email. Anyway, if you need the use of my scanner I am available. Are you going to be out and about tomorrow?
going to the pp green?
Hi guys. Where was the old stock yard?
Is Maureen Hursey Here?
I think that there is a possibility that it could be at the capitol. But clue 5 will help us out!
I'm not sure where the old stockyard is, but I'll ask my friend tomorrow. Hopefully, tonight's clue will guide us a little more. I'm anxious to start digging.
green, go to my post 14216. Those the reasons why I think HF.
Ms. Green--heard you were at Phalen today? Any thoughts on Phalen?
Leela, I go where I'm told to... LOL!!!
Jake, you've ONLY spent all o'Sat nite and all o'last nite with Steve!!! Could have gotten a book anytime!!! Yeah. I'm gonna put on some more clothes - I FROZE today - and head to the meeting joint.
My thoughts on Phalen: The Spotters are starting to watch all the parks...
OK, i'm back... leelabell>> what 2 parks were you talking about??
You goofball Green! LOL See you in a little bit!
I'm diggin' tomorrow, is anyone else?
You know what'd be great? If they hid the med at Newell again!!
Wolff, I slog. I got your ideas.
I gotta head out. I tell you, I'll never Bee able to see a movie from the same mind set I used to. All actors/actresses and film makers have my respect.

The reference to banks, in my estimation is, what retrains a river? Banks.
Green...what's "cabbaged"?
I can't tell you Allison's park. But, I was also at Iris, which still has possibilities, and West Minnihaha, which at this point I've ruled out.
I'm not sold on Valley
Wolffpac, that's what I thought, but, there are so many lakes.
You know what'd be great? If they hid the med at Newell again!!
Jill, that was the place I was trying to find. Where is it? Can't find it on a map.
Lakes have shores not banks.
Digger...its by Regions Hospital
that large river bank at Harriet sure did shrink this summer...
I was there tonight - It's on Jackson and University - Up on some cliffs - Kind of tricky to find - Right behind the Capitol and Regions hospital - Jill
aka Ramsey County hospital, or Anker hospital, depending on your age! It offers the coolest view of Downtown..
If the treasure lies out of view, its HIDDEN!
Ah, Estaban...
Never Mind! I found it!!!
"Cabbaged" - swiped, took, stole, "borrowed and forgot to return."
