I'm tired! Worked all day and all night till now. If I send my dog out to hunt, will you guys send her home when she's done? (Yes I would like some cheese with that wine!)
All us NSPites should solisite the paper to hide it in NSP!!!!!!!!! I would LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, the treasure to be in NSP. I always have to drive to he!! and gone to search for the thing.
no offence, queen, but it's bad enough that nsp-ites need to solicit traffic there, with that insane 45 mph speed limit on 36 and its associated traffic signals. no, this is the st. paul winter carnival, the hunt belong here.
When it was at hidden Falls they told us on the first clue "The start of something big" Meanibg Itaska street for the name of the town the Mississippi starts at
i'd like to call my location for the medallion. it's in the space bounded by larpenteur ave on the north, mcknight rd on the east, annapolis st. on the south, and emerald st, and the mississippi river on the west. anyone want to argue with that?
I mentioned for Como that they had the old merry-go round there with old animals (horses)on it. Also, clue #3 - circular thinking, it is not called a merry-go-round for nothing.
Actually it could be NEWELL, Newell, means new, the Circular motion, and linking, goes around to mean OLD, and Newell Park is one of the oldest parks in Saint Paul
New Daddy........NOT!
Go here!!!!!! for past clues... http://www2.twincities.com/wintercarnival/previousclues/

I still like Como, everything fits there very well. Too well though I am possibly afraid.
hit the previous clue link at the top of this page or you can also look under www.coolercrew.com, chose medallion then pick 2001.
John Ireland was the Bishop of the Archdiocese of St.Paul at the time the Cathedral of St. Paul and the Basilica of St. Mary were built.
um, yeah, nensea. just as soon as she brings the med to me, you can have her back :)
ND, The RC fairgrounds are not off Mc Knight.

duel MEANING TWICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have already been to Newell, and the spot it was found last year was already dug up after the 2nd or 3rd clue.
Ms Sharky, maybe the library. I really have no clue.
It could be at Newell. The first clue did say something about cruel.
Last year at Newell our fate was most cruel,
Unfortunately the game ended too soon
Come now and prepare for a much tougher duel,
Keep on your toes or you'll hunt until June

what are the cross streets for iris
all you folks from NSP if you are between 21-50 years old you probably know me or my 4 brothers.
Ares, you are ever so kind!
so they put it at newell again to keep the game going a while longer, step. hmm. i may check out newell instead of como tomorrow.
iris cross streets--East lynhurst, west lynhurst, iris place, and something to the south I don't remember
When it was at hidden Falls they told us on the first clue "The start of something big" Meanibg Itaska street for the name of the town the Mississippi starts at
Thanks guys! Appreciate it. Need to cross-reference something...
Newell=BAAAAAAAAD
Como or NSP=GOOOOOOOOOD
Has anyone else noticed the tie to cows and horses ie: #2-Steer, #5-Herd, #6-Riding? Just a thought
well, i try, nensea :) i'm sure everyone else here would do the same. we are, after all minnesotans.
Good night here we are clue 7 and we are looking all over the place..
rush, take that one step further to traveling the old way, and you may be on to something.
Look for his name around our deal
And you'll be in very fine fettle
thank you dave
Yep, rushmore I did notice that, but I can't make anything of it, can you? It would be more fun to play with than the battle references, for sure....
Ares, my thought exactly.
I like the Newell idea, and what better clue to send us back there than number 7 itself
And it is Ares right there in your showcase park....
GOOD POINT >>>COWS STEERS HORSES>>>>>>>>>>
Yet the street Gateway still bugs me a link on a gateway?????? REACHING but not the cows
i'd like to call my location for the medallion. it's in the space bounded by larpenteur ave on the north, mcknight rd on the east, annapolis st. on the south, and emerald st, and the mississippi river on the west. anyone want to argue with that?
Shaggy -- It's there.
And a PIERCE arrow is an old car--old way to travel--just to continue the Newell theory
I mentioned for Como that they had the old merry-go round there with old animals (horses)on it. Also, clue #3 - circular thinking, it is not called a merry-go-round for nothing.
Wrong ares....I told you its in the showcase park
Ares, only if it's actually inside the city limits of St. Paul. I told ya before, it's in my backyard. IN NSP.
An old way to travel might be by 'coach' - theres a coach road across the tracks from Como - by Bandana Square.
Thanks Dave. The trollies run down town. Don't they make a stop at the Capital. Where is Iris park?
and playing on the carousel may "put a smile on your face"
I still like como, yet, i'd just like to retract it as my final answer.
I like your thinking rush, I also like pierce butler as the man of mettle, and there is more than one park off of pierce butler..I think
Actually it could be NEWELL, Newell, means new, the Circular motion, and linking, goes around to mean OLD, and Newell Park is one of the oldest parks in Saint Paul
queen, then why is the hunt still in progress? :)
I have a really big dog, and I really don't want to know what's under the snow in my back yard.
im wondering if this works
I think it would be awesome if the puck was back at Newell!!!
My stretch for a thought is this:
A man of steel...look for his name.
Andy Van Slyke played his MLB career for the Pirates, the same hometown for the steelers. I know it is a stretch though.
