Yes, the medallion has been found, but there's still lots to talk about. Feel the need for more than virtual discussion? Then join the Re-Hash Bash, Sunday, Jan. 27, at noon at Merriam Park in St. Paul.
Well looking back on past hiding places, there does seem to be a rather limited number of parks used. Granted they prefer the bigger parks, and most neighborhoods by a big park are generally nice neighborhoods anyway, so it's hard to say exactly how the relationship works, but I wonder if they do consider such things?
It's all just a matter of perspective. The people in Duluth think all of the Twin Cities is the "big bad city". And I'm sure the people in the smaller towns probably think even Duluth is somewhere they wouldn't want to live.
I believe it was Mark Twain who once commented that St. Paul was the last of the eastern cities and Minneapolis is the first of the western cities or something like that.
Here's a song I came up with. It's "Dig With Me", sung to the tune of "Stand By Me" by B.B. King
When the night has come And the land is dark, And the moon is the only light we'll see. No I won't be afraid, Oh I won't be afraid, Just as long as you dig, dig with me
So darlin' darlin' dig with me, Oh dig with me, Oh dig, dig with me, dig with me.
If the sky that we look upon Should cloud up and snow, Or the wind chill should fall to minus three. I won't cry, I won't cry, No I won't shed a tear, Just as long as you dig, dig with me.
And darlin' darlin' dig with me, Oh dig with me, Whoa dig now, dig with me, dig with me.
Darlin' darlin' dig with me, Oh dig with me, Oh dig now, dig with me, dig with me.
Whoever is a Cooler Head just dig with me, Oh dig with me, Whoa dig now, oh dig, dig with me.
I cannot imagine one park in St. Paul that would be considered "bad". The neighborhoods in St. Paul are certainly diverse and all have a flavor of their own, but there are no "bad" neighborhoods.
Don't fill your heads with meaningless clues as it will only bring you the blues because this year I'm going to win and your going to lose. Sorry folks, this one I've got wrapped up.
Hey now rivr, don't try and steal my ideas about the music, maybe we could all decide on songs that we can all agree on for digging/general listening, throw out suggestions and maybe someone, possibly myself, could burn a cd and have some music during the hunt? maybe even distribute. Or maybe i'm going too far into this and everyone can bring the music they like. Or maybe some people would prefer not to listen to music while digging, if anyone has thoughts, let me know.
No I have looked other years. I spend alot more time trying to figure out the clues w/ the maps and such, than actually getting out to look, but I look a little every year. Can't find anyone crazy enuf to go out looking w/ me. Would sure like to go w/ someone that has a car, but I have taken the cab so many times lately that I may just do that if I really think I am on to something!
I know what you mean about not posting much, cuz I really don't know too much about the parks, but I go nuts trying to figure it out anyway. Nice to see the experienced folks opinions and thoughts.
So do you!

Growing up, I was always raised to believe that Minneapolis was the evil twin in the Twin Cities.
Ali, that's bad, maybe this town is bad, but i'm not !
I am close to Highland
well, raft, you're hanging out here, so you can't be that terribly bad.

Good job TMK
Good going, TMK!!!
That should be the next thing, a music cd of med hunting songs.
My goal has been to be in a sleeping position that won't cause little square impressions imbedded in my face no later than midnight.
Looks like I'd best get going here if I'm going to make that.
Goodnight and SCDs one and all!
Good night Terry
Guess it's bed time all around. Tomorrow will be another day of debating things we really only can speculate about. hehe
BB has just passed away what a way to go

BB ??
Hey sorry it's not hid yet!!!!
I've been traipsing all over Saint Paul, and the damn thing's not out there yet?

TMK - Great song! Personally, I like the sound of everyone digging and chatting, but the cd thing isn't too bad of an idere.
When does the 1st clue come out?
Hi Annie, 1st clue comes out at 11:30 or 12:00 Sat. nigght or Sun. morning
Be sure to buy the paper and clip the clues, they are worth money too.
Is it only if you find it that you can submit the paper clippings?
I am all geared up - just started my PP Subscription so besides finding the clues here I can ponder during my breaks as usual.
Yes that's correct, if you are lucky enough to find it, then the clippings are worth like $2500.
Is this your 1st year ?
No I have looked other years. I spend alot more time trying to figure out the clues w/ the maps and such, than actually getting out to look, but I look a little every year. Can't find anyone crazy enuf to go out looking w/ me. Would sure like to go w/ someone that has a car, but I have taken the cab so many times lately that I may just do that if I really think I am on to something!
LOL, everyone on this board is CRAZY !! Also, did you buy a button and send the registration in ?
That's how you get the most money. JOE
Also I have been here that past couple of years pondering the clues w/ everyone here. You been here other yrs? - your name sounds familiar.
Yep, I have my button registered!
Yeah, but don't post too much, i've been here 3 yrs. for sure, and i was a lurker for acouple yrs. before then
Things get pretty heavy in here once the clues come out, so most of the time i'm just catching up on the post.
I know what you mean about not posting much, cuz I really don't know too much about the parks, but I go nuts trying to figure it out anyway. Nice to see the experienced folks opinions and thoughts.
I'm not one of the Experienced one, trust me. I haven't gotten all that close YET, but i like to try.
Do you have the Treasure Hunter's Guide book ?
