Yes, the medallion has been found, but there's still lots to talk about. Feel the need for more than virtual discussion? Then join the Re-Hash Bash, Sunday, Jan. 27, at noon at Merriam Park in St. Paul.
New Daddy
Here is a breakdown of the exact resting place as givin in the last clue over the past 10 years
4 times it was X amount of paces(divisible by 5, from 20-90) in a specific direction from a landmark ie 90 paces SE of slide etc.
3 times it was where you would line up landmarks or between landmarks, ie line up street address with line of trees.
2 times by group of trees or picnic tables (kinda vague)
oh and incidentally, scribe, jt, and any of my other doubters, step can vouch for me too. i graduated with his sister and he graduated with my brother.
Ares, Ares, Ares. You can't have anonymous people on a chat forum vouch for you! For all I know, they don't exist either.
Hey New Daddy, thanks for doing all the math. I was just thinking of that about 5 minutes ago. And AW had some theory earlier today too. And some great new song too.
If somebody has time it would be great if they could break down clues 6-12 over the past ten years like Bax-Man72 did last year for clues 1-5!! any volunteers???
Ares is probly Stepdog too, well in that case if he is trying to make up people to beleive in him without smelling, tasting, hearing or seeing-he could be Jesus Christ on here too
While I agree with Jake that Mears is a small park, I'm not sure if it was really the smallest. Definitely not the smallest by far. I'd say Irvine gives Mears a good run for it's money, and I think it may be even smaller. I was only there once though so it's hard to say for sure. It's a cute little park though.
I really hope they never put it there! the people who live around there are nothing but anal in their old age! I listen to it on my scanner and here complaints all the time about the parking and how they want people towed away because they are parked on the streets. One time a woman demanded that a car be towed because the day on the sign was that day but it was a holiday and the police told her they would not tow.- OOOOOOPS, got the spelling wrong on forepaughs-I guess I always think of foreplay when I think of that place. :)
um, i may have been a little misguided earlier. according to friendsoftheparks.org, rice park is 1.61 acres, while irvine and mears are shown as 2. irvine must be bigger than i remember it when i got a pic of the snoopy statue there.

in theory he could anyway.
I can't smell him, see him, feel him or hear him.

Geeez!
I can't smell him, see him, feel him or hear him.
Yep, that's Ares all right!

thanks for the laugh, me2!
irvine is smaller than mears, allison.
Daddy, your getting deep, like I did last year with Mears Park.
Wow, Jake was wrong about something concerning hunt history! Mark the calendar!
irvine is smaller than mears, allison.
Prove it! Prove Irvine even exists!
:-)
ok, is West St Paul still Ramsey Co? The smallest park in the state is on the corner of Smith Ave. & Bernard St. called Albert park.
Oh Oh I'm getting deep and the hunt hasn't even started yet yikes!!
dakota county, me2.
Prove it! Prove Irvine even exists!
no.
Besides, I think the question was what was the smallest park it's actually been hidden in. It was in Irvine sometime in the 70's I think.
Albert died back in the 60's as a child he drowned in a pond and this park was monumented for his memory.
oh, by the way AW-Jake is wrong a lot! He does it on purpose to be a goof. beware-but he is a fun guy to hang out with in moderation.
Irvine and Rice park are the 2 oldest parks in St Paul.
I'd believe that about being the oldest ones. Irvine looks like it's still straight out of the 1880's or so.
gotta go, work. after that i am home free untill after the hunt!!!!
Where is Irvine park? (Don't have my map book) Is it the one at the end of Summit Avenue?
If it's the one I'm thinking, It is older than Summit Avenue itself.
that is funny. Irvine is behind the science museum. near 7th st. near alexander ramsey house and fourpaus restaurant.
THX...Irvine is down by Forepaughs.
You should know that one.

TreasureHunter'sGod: Thanks for the updates on Harriet, and I just noticed, Indian Mounds, on your site.
I think I'll give a go at an analysis of past clues as has been started. See what I can come up with, if it will be of any use.
looks like someone else thinks you're a god too, guide :)
THX...Irvine is down by Forepaughs.
Thanks, I'm thinking the wrong park then.
What is that little park at the East end of Summit Avenue?
I really hope they never put it there! the people who live around there are nothing but anal in their old age
I would love it!
::devilish grin::
Summit Overlook
thanks MKs, look forward to your analysis.
Nathan Hale, Cochran...
Summit Overlook
Is it considered a park because, that place is tiny.
Those Summit Avenue-ites would freak at a bunch of diggity maniacs practically in front of their house all night.

Oh Yeah!
::Devilish grin::
both Irvine & Rice park were donated on July 2, 1849. and they are really public squares.
A park is a park, THX.
Ares, Daliance..you guys are setting me up for others to take me down. Thanks for the ego stroking though.
I'm back! ::peeking around for thought police::
Thanks for the ego stroking
not gonna touch that one!

I knew that someone would bite on that.
Hi LL! nice to meet you, I have seen your name a lot in the cooler and would think your name would be more of Cooler Lady than Liquor Lady. :)
Will Ares be making his appearance on Saturday eve.?
>:)
Welcome back, LOLady!
