2002 Pioneer Press Treasure Hunt

Submitted by Casey Trauer on

Yes, the medallion has been found, but there's still lots to talk about. Feel the need for more than virtual discussion? Then join the Re-Hash Bash, Sunday, Jan. 27, at noon at Merriam Park in St. Paul.

My Dalliance

I don't think the cluewriter would refer to killing per se this particular year, so I don't get a good feeling about the Phalen/time to kill connection

Good Morning!!

The clues have really got my mind spinning this year.... I did however have *one* thought on the in/on the air clue. What about an "A", a "B", and a "C" street? I know, I know - it's kind of a stretch, but it's all my tired mind could come up with.

Wed, 01/23/2002 - 9:17 AM Permalink

LLady, Canyon Street is in The Valley of the "Ho, Ho, Ho" Green Giant.

Marnin', Mom! How do you get in/on air from streets with letter names? I'm not following this.

But then, what's new! :D

Wed, 01/23/2002 - 9:19 AM Permalink
Liquor Lady

not yet snow mom, will go check again. ::sigh::

Good morning -can't slogg, anything new and good?

arrrrghhh I'm at work and forgot my guide and maps and stuff

fair -fairview, state fair grounds, ramsey ct fair grounds, fair weather, just rhyms with air air-tv, radio, inflatable dome, builboard of on the air person, the clue writer is full of hot air, riding on an innertube. ski junpers are in and on the air????

Wed, 01/23/2002 - 9:20 AM Permalink
green

CiCi, I don't think so. "be fare" would then send everyone straight ONTO a golf course! Which they want us off of.

I definately think "fair" is the correct spelling.

Wed, 01/23/2002 - 9:20 AM Permalink
ares

that's what i want to know, too green. i know where the streets are at, but its the connection that i don't understand.

llady, blame all your problems on msn. that's what everyone else does.

Marley - there's all three! That's the only reason I figured it was worth a mention. They're right off of Southern White Bear Ave (south of Upper Afton).

I am still not SOLD on BC though. I can/can't make the clues fit a bunch of parks.

What about an "A", a "B", and a "C" street?

If this was a reference to the network ABC, what about NBC = N (as in "in") BC (Battle Creek)?

ok so if you were a wind surfer you would be in and on the air.....wind surfer sails at phalen? ::reaching really far::

RUN FAST, RUN HARD, STAY FOCUSED AND ON THE TRACK AS YOU CHASE YOUR DREAM...... THEN RETIRE TO A NICE WARM COUCH......

Yes, RANDY, I know there is a Cardinal St. also. As someone mentioned already, there is a C Street, B Street, and an A Street, too......Could very well refer to the network on the air ABC.......referring to both street signs and the network which is "on the air." One of the large hills for sledding used to be a skii slope yearssssssss ago. There is also a Hillsdale Ave. I also like the spark/McKnight Rd indication.
