Sounds like The St. Paul Companies, on 6th & St. Peter (between Landmark Center & Mickey's), but all that is there is Rice park. . .not a lot of room to hide stuff. Their logo is White & Blue and they have laid off a ton of folks (in the red). I left of my own accord 3.5 years ago.

Thu, 01/23/2003 - 9:04 PM Permalink
Terry

There are American Legions around I'm sure - but I don't know where...and crueler crew could be anything or nothing...but I like the Yacht Club idea!

Thu, 01/23/2003 - 9:04 PM Permalink
queenmalley

NOname: I looked up American legion posts in St Paul and there must be like 20 of them!

Thu, 01/23/2003 - 9:05 PM Permalink

Old Man River is often pronouced "Mee-sa-see-pee"...

I believe ittiz the Indian pronunceation, but don't quote me.

Thu, 01/23/2003 - 9:10 PM Permalink
green

And there would beee your "wide as triple-E."

Wolfpac, nope! Two hooks in back do! :D

Terry

We have had enough clues now to start thinking about what is not said within them....

No water.

No paths.

No playground.

No picnics.

No trees.

Thu, 01/23/2003 - 9:12 PM Permalink

your confusing me terryv

To Wolfpac----------> :D

Thu, 01/23/2003 - 9:16 PM Permalink
green

Ter, I disagreee. Water *has* been mentioned...

Thu, 01/23/2003 - 9:17 PM Permalink
Terry

Usually the clues hint at things seen in the park/not park. Trees, water clues, picnics, play equipment, swings, trails/paths and we've not yet seen one of those clues.

Thu, 01/23/2003 - 9:17 PM Permalink

NoName: it could still be in refernce to an American Legion; there were too many listed for St paul that I didnt look up all the addresses.

Thu, 01/23/2003 - 9:18 PM Permalink
Terry

where is the water, green?

Terry: don't the playground equip usually come up in later clues?
What about this park mentioned earlier--Scheffer-- that has a mural of shoes on the Rec building; anyone actually beent there and what is the address of it?

Thu, 01/23/2003 - 9:20 PM Permalink
green

"How so?" what, DQ?

Ter, three E's wide: Mee-sa-see-pee. Didn't you see that? Scroll up.

Thu, 01/23/2003 - 9:20 PM Permalink
Terry

Scheffer is on the corner or Thomas and Marion....or Como and Marion. The address where the building is would be on Thomas. Not sure of exact address - but probably 2XX.

I do believe that we have a new group of writers this year. I also believe that they've heard our complaints (aka "barbs"), and perhaps spent a bit more time assembling the clues. If you remember, we WERE a bit "cruel" after the last couple of year's clues, and hunts. Does anyone else feel this?

Thu, 01/23/2003 - 9:23 PM Permalink
Terry

  • that* doesn't quite ring right with me green.

As far as play equipment in later clues - tonight's the half way mark with clues...something needs to show up sooner or later.

Howdy Regman. There's more to that park than you first think...and I'm sure there's plenty of leaves to dig through there or anywhere that medallion is hidden.
