So what is everyone thinking? I'm going all around downtown tomorrow. Just to keep an eye out. I'm still thinking it may not be at a park. More like a bridge, or public land type thing.
ok guy's, that park is just where the schools play baseball and football, it's not an actual park, and they WILL NOT hide it in maplewood or north st paul.
Also, West Minnehaha cuts off the view right at the base of the dome. It may be far fetched, but the fields have white chalk down from football season. The St Agnes practice field is large enough area for 1 full size field. The rest of the park has 2 60 yard fields that I assume are for youth football. Is it 2 or 3? The best spot to view the dome is straight out from the bar on Pierce Butler, and straight out from the building entrance. May be far fetched again, but Pierce Butler has three E's, and 3 lanes....
Just a thought here, but did anybody think that McKnight Rd runs right through the middle of Battle Creek? The sun certainly doesn't shine at McKnight.
Annie-- I never thought of it like that. I think the "coldest star" refers to downtown saint paul for sure. it just feels like it's year. what do you think about it not being at a park?
hey not a prob, thought i lived so damn close i better check it out. of course after sloggin i found that LL said it wasn't there after i left. oh well, live and learn!
what do you think about the "great leap"? I'm thinking it has something to do with the naming of the capital city.. wasn't the capital first in St. Peter, then they thought about midway? That could be the two or three. (just noodling here..anyone agree?)
I went to zone 3 of battle creek today, right off of hwy 61. you can see the capitol when you're driving into the parking area but not once you get there. walked around a bit but nothing jumped out at me. plus they had the parking areas locked. i noticed that at cherokee too, they had the parking areas locked. i wonder why? it was during the day.
looked up lay/vs/lie in my AP stylebook.. and it looks like they used the correct form with "lying".. but that doesn't mean it still can't be a play on words.
definitely no capitol, no sign with a capitol on it either. if your kids play there you know it's not really a park but just ball fields and tennis courts.
bet they just assumed there wasn't going to be much snowfall...

I can't go out there now, but I am waking up early and heading to mcknight
If you're like, a cluewriter, man? You can like write clues any time you want. It's AWESOME.
why is everyone saying McKnight? I don't get it.
36 and mcknight rd... man, I want to go now.. but.... shoot

yeah, I had the miller lite jacket on.
you know what else? this year is the 150th anniversary of St. Paul as the Capital city. That's reason alone that I think it's downtown
you guy's will waste your time if you go maplewood or north st paul.
oh ya! I told my hubbie I wanted some of those coconut boobies!
Hmm if it is there, I hope they hid it well enough it can wait till morning
musta missed the coconuts. :(
finished slogging, must sleep now.
Regal-- I like your idea about West Minnehaha .. I may have to check that out tomorrow.
hi frosti!
I'm not ruling anything out, but still there's one place I really want to check..
night frosti!
Night all.. gotta wake up early
Wastin time!!!! ive been at this computer for 5 and half hours!!!!lol
LOL! me too, I'm on this damn thing all too much these day's!
Diggin4it, I think I remember you there tonight. Lots of people though. I was in the green jacket covered by the bluish hawaiian shirt.
I agree that i could be near the PP.. the red white and blue of the capital logo is just a bit too close to rule out!
Hey all, just got back, I scoped Scheffer on my way home, I think it's too small.
SCD's everyone...gotta get some sleep!
I was pretty non-descript. Green jacket, ugly brown hat/facemask and black pants. I was in line by LL for a little bit.
hi LL!
Mom won't take you, or you can't go?
Just a thought here, but did anybody think that McKnight Rd runs right through the middle of Battle Creek? The sun certainly doesn't shine at McKnight.
Diggin, what area do you live in?
Hockey Snoopy is over at Highland Arena.
back from McKnight...definitely NOTHING...it's practice baseball fields and tennis courts for the NSP High School
it's not even marked as a park

sounds like everyone's gonna get up early tomorrow and head nowhere! doesn't seem like anyone's got a good solid idea, this sucks.

SilverNite -- where do you live?

dolly -- i thought about that too! laying vs lying could be very important!
it's lying
as in they're lying about it being hidden :)
they fixed the typo last year though
or the year before, whichever it was
so did everyone go out hunting or go to bed?
