Marley King has the bumper stickers. Mom has the buttons.
And yes. Bring something to share. I'm trying to think of something creative this year that might be related to HI as that's where I spent most of my hunting time this year.
leelabel - it's a bummer. I really want some explanations this time. Usually they're pretty much what we had figured anyways...but even now knowing where it was found, there's some clues that don't make snese to me.
Last night was crazy! It was the first time my husband and I did the tag team thing, with him down at the PP with the clue and me waiting at the park. Turns out he couldn't get his call through til about 15 mintues after he had the clue in his hot little hands. When I saw a couple of people running, I got out of the car and followed them. Then it was just mayhem with a couple of leafblowing hunters making it dusty and noisy. By the time I figured out which way was North, and what a hillock is, it was probably already found. Wierd thing is, I would walk away from the fireplace, follow the bike trail, then end up back at the fireplace. I was walking in circles! Well, my husband thinks there were 2 fireplaces. Is that true?? What a crazy hunt!
Looking forward to meeting you all at the re-hash bash. In case you didn't know, there will also be a bunch of geocachers there too. Ian has created a co-event of sorts:
leelabell! where the heck did you guy's end up last night!? we spent 90% of our time hunting for you guy's! we parked the van and came out there but the only ones we ran into was terry and inks and the camo guy's. what a nut house that was!
Good Morning All! What a night! Wanted to get online after I got back from Como. Must've walked over the darn thing more than once....son of a gun..am sooo very sleepy.
The possession and consumption of non-intoxicating malt liquor (containing not more than 3.2% alcohol by weight) is permitted from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. within the designated picnic areas in Cherokee, Como, Harriet Island, Highland and Phalen Parks, and at Rice & Arlington, McMurray and Dunning Fields. No glass beverage containers are allowed.
We started at the fireplace and went back a few times looking for you but it was such a crazy mob scene we couldn't find anyone. Finally after it was probably over, we found Jana, Ares, etc. after running into the Clowns.
I really much prefer a snowy hunt - the woods were crazy.
Ya, I didn't like the woods either.we looked for you guy's for like a half hour, saw terry like 3 times but noone else, we ended up leaving around 12:15. Cops were everywhere!!!
Scribe and I were leaving at about 12:15 or 12:30 because it was getting too nuts - just as the cops were coming by saying it had been found. We waited in the parking lot for a little while to talk to people, the cops yelled at us again to leave and then turned out the lights in the parking lot.
I have managed to get ready for work in spite of myself being here too.
See yaz later or on Sunday!!!
We maybe didn't find the medallion - but look at all the new friends we've made and all the old ones we've made contact with again. That's the ultimate prize!
Morning all! I woke up excited to see the explanations. Disappointed! LL, thank you and novacaine for the ride last night. I even lost Bigslim in the mad dash. I didn't find him till an hour later (not that I was looking!). I ended up with Regman. god, what a doll.
Jester, I agree. Tues nite I moved a branch out of the way to walk by and it snapped back and poked me right in the eye. It's still red. Hey, that's how everyone will know me at the Rehash. I'll be the one who looks like she's got pink eye. Sweet! :) LOL
I think bigslim was with me along with Scribe, leelabell, and pops. I was wondering where you were. Funny how people got separated and then ended up with other people.
Hi Digger- hey AW. It was like we were a bunch of partner-swappin medallion swingers! Yeah, baby, yeah! LL, we all walked back to the cars, it wasn't that far once we cut across. I was out there diggin by myself for a good 1/2 hour. Then I ran into Rich and Mike, then timmers, then I met up with Reg. I was at a Square Dance HEE HAW!!!
Good Morning!
The auditors were at the main office this morning so wouldn't need me. Sleep!!! What a plan!!!
I thought the explanations would have been online by now.
I'm wondering if they won't be printed in the paper till tomorrow so are holding off. Bummer if they are.
About noon. Give or take. Whenever folks get there!
Toing and froing. Need to get ready for work.
Yeah, I should get one of those cooler crew buttons for next year :)

My kids are grown so they're used to this obsessed being I think...and I hunt with my other half so we are equally obsessed.
Terry, I have a feeling you are correct - one more paper to sell, no explanations until tonight/tomorrow

That works too!
BeeyoB - You're lurking!!!!!! Is that you Bee??????? Where have you been?!?!
Bee - if you bee the Bee I think you bee....you've been in the frog pond.
does anyone know if we're going to be able to bring crockpots? also, what are the rules on beer in the parks?
SnowJester - If we use the pavillion on the West Picnic Grounds, there is electricity there.
I'm thinking perhaps we should dine at the pavillion and do a fire later down by the fire rings.
Thoughts?
I'm not sure about beer in the parks. I thought there was a no alcohol rule, but I don't know.

Bee!!!!! We've missed you and that Bee bro of yours sooooo much!!!
Did you get to hunt? Get close? Check that where the sun don't shine end of the frog?
How you bee?

See you then!
Doing both works for me!

Forgot to mention:
Don't forget your gps units!! Geocaching is like the medallion hunt all year. Uh, without the PP and with sleep!
Thanks for finding that Allison.
I really need to get ready for work here.
According to the THG, there is only one fireplace, so maybe you really were walking in circles.
I'm going to have to get me one of those gps things. Some of the reps need them at work, but I wouldn't dare borrow theirs.
Thanks for finding that Allison.
I knew where to look. It's not the first event I've planned there. ;-)
Event planner are you, Allison.
Event planner are you, Allison.
Quite. Now if only I could get paid for it!
Hi LL-
thanks again for the drive and the warmth.
We started at the fireplace and went back a few times looking for you but it was such a crazy mob scene we couldn't find anyone. Finally after it was probably over, we found Jana, Ares, etc. after running into the Clowns.

Lee! I was thinking the same things. That was crazier than getting our heels dug up one night after the clue at Newell in 84.
Ya, I didn't like the woods either.we looked for you guy's for like a half hour, saw terry like 3 times but noone else, we ended up leaving around 12:15. Cops were everywhere!!!
So does the plan of Gabe's at 7 and then bar hop to Gallivan's at 8 still sound good to everyone?
I don't think we will make the pity party but me and little roaster will probably be at the re-hash.

We'll be doing Gabes at 7. Not sure how much bar hopping we'll do though.
morning all that was the best hunt yet
I wonder how one would get in touch with them about the rehash bash. We've only had one year the winner didn't show there. Not bad for 6 years.
That's easy! In the sand box at Harriet Island. It would have been mine! Hehehehehehe
I have managed to get ready for work in spite of myself being here too.
See yaz later or on Sunday!!!

hi lilslim
I was gonna give everyone a ride back to their cars but I couldn't find anyone, we had fun anyway! look forward to next year!
I think bigslim was with me along with Scribe, leelabell, and pops. I was wondering where you were. Funny how people got separated and then ended up with other people.
What happened to you Dave? First you were with us and then lost in the mayhem - that's how the whole night seemed.
