Clue #1
A daily drive to work and back can be a tiresome chore,
A different type of commute gave this man some press,
Steer clear of some current hunting lore,
And you will have an advantage over the rest.

Governor Ryan of Illinois commuted the death sentences of all death row inmates. Ryan street runs into Irvine park.

Clue #2
To solve the first riddle read your current events,
Where you will find relief on death row,
Murder is not one of the deadly sins,
The meaning of commute you now all should know.

Clarifies the meaning of the word commute in the first clue.

Clue #3(not released)
If you want to find the correct Park,
Remember an animal friend,
You must first listen to this Clark,
And this hunt will come to an end.

A pet is an animal friend, Petula Clarks hit “Downtown” tells you that it is a downtown park.

Cool, good job timmers!

its snowing! Yay!!!

Lol Marley! I can almost see you jumping around like a little kid on Christmas morning, with your fingers crossed. Perhaps the puck is already hidden, in a dirt or clay clump. Then any snow would make this hunt extra difficult, with any decent clue writing.

You know it takes me longer to come up with GOOD clues, those ones were just thrown together. I hope to win a mock hunt, and then hold a mock hunt of my own.

We made it safe and sound...but there were plenty of snow squalls along the way. How much are we getting in the cities?!?

Is it just me or does it not really feel like time for the hunt?

This funky weather has me all off kilter.

It will feel more like the right time when the clues begin.

Less than 24 hours and we will know if it is in a public place in St. Paul or not. I wonder if it is on a golf course?

I'm feeling the same way. First clue comes out tommorow, yet I'm not as worked up as I should be.

'Morning, Cooler Crew! Wish I could be with y'all tonight at McGovern's, but I will be raising my glass of beer in your direction tonight, and toasting to a long, fun and satisfying hunt. I'll be hunting from my computer chair this year.

We're at the start of what's supposed to be at least 14" of snow here in Marquette. Hope you're getting some of this, too.

The clues posted here the past few days have been fun. I didn't slog until after they'd been solved, but it was fun to try to guess along the way.

Go, Cooler Crew! And Good Luck!!

Watched SIGNS last night
a neighbor kid said it was NOT scary
"well, I outa..."geesh, I was afraid to go out in the hallway after it was over.

The kids fell asleep during it, so they missed all the scary stuff- they are watching it now, I thought I would come to talk with you guys since I dont want to get scared again. my 7 yr old loves scary movies.

OH, I suppose, I shouldn't pass up a chance at this 69 ;)

Just a quick poem before I run off and get some stuff done before tonight-

It's that time of the year, my friend
For slogging, and reading, and quickly refreshing
Should I run spell check before I hit send?
1000 messages behind; oh, how depressing

Laughing at and analyzing the wit of the crew
Posted by notables like Scribe and Me2
Allison believes that he'll get it right
But the Medallionators say the puck's in their sight

I ignore Mr. News and giggle at Violent J
I dig out the maps and put the homework away
What you ask? What is the reason?
You silly fool, it's medallion hunting season
