No, I think it was just a matter of too much partying this weekend. I'm feeling better now, but not quite up to standing outside.

I assume the Medallionator has multiple impenetrable defense systems?

No, I don't drink. But there is going to be quite a bit of recycling to put out tomorrow from all the drinking everyone else did.

Better get yourself into shape, young man. It is hunt time.

Annie

I think all that new stuff can be found on the web page. Hit the Medallion Hunters Guide link near the top of this page.

It's probably in the suburb of Saint Paul Park.

DOH!! That's Washington County.

Human bad. Human sorry. Human gargling thumbtacks.

You mean there are MORE CLUES coming? This is going to be easy!

Speaking of more clues, where's the new one?? It's 11:09, time's a wasting! ;-)

We are all waiting for that second clue.

Frosti

I think everybody.

Standing here, you
can see, so clear

A view of our
Capitol dome

If it's treasure you
seek, nearby you should peek

And you may see
our medallion's
home.

Not Cherokee again?

All I can think of is that view from the end of the bridge, but I'm sure there's a ton of other spots that you'd get a good view, too.

Mounds?

  • If it's trasure you seek, nearby you should peek.
  • And you may find our medallion's home.

I've been hoping for Mounds for years -- I suppose it would be there the year we move away from there :).

I think that was all resolved, Regman. But I could be wrong...

I think too the Capital area, Lisa; clue 1 refers to a "leap of Faith" could be the Cathederal area, which you can see the dome

Reg--The "never at Mounds" deal comes up each year, and it comes down to a personal matter, I think. Certainly, the year it was at Chair-O-key, and the year it was at Conway, Mounds was being hunted, as many of the clues seemed to lead there. If Mounds was such a no-no, the rules would say "No Mounds".

It's been 15 years since it was in Mounds - I don't remember the repurcussions of the hunt being there at that time. I certainly think it's *possible* for it to be there again, the burial mounds do have fencing around them.

St. Paul, being built on seven hills, (just like Rome), probably has many places that the Capitol Dome is Visible from--some much further away than we think practical. Surely, in the Highwood Hills area, on the North End, and possibly in St. Anthony Park, there may be some places where the "Dome" is visible...

Dave, you just beat me, I was going for the first to post the clue, you're a quick one

I don't think it's narrowed down at all! Was just discussing one possible place. The capitol dome can be seen all over the city, maybe even outside of St.Paul....
It's definitely given us something to go out and scout for. I'm sure there'll be some driving around for us after work tomorrow :)

Frosti (who is also usually wrong) prognosticates...

Maybe the park it's in doesn'thave a view of the capital. But a park that's nearbydoes. It would fit with the general opinion that they're trying to make it last. What would be better than refer to a park that's near the correct park. Holy misdirection Batman!

Cherokee, Mounds, several parks are all good candidates for this one. Good deal! We'll be all over the city and beyond.
