Because I don't personally know, does anyone know where the main pioneer press building is? I'm assuming it's the one everyone (except me) goes to get the clues at night...
From the Halls of Montezuma To the shores of Tripoli We fight our country's battles On the land as on the sea. First to fight for right and freedom And to keep our honor clean; We are proud to claim the title Of United States Marines. Our flag's unfurled to every breeze From dawn to setting sun; We have fought in every clime and place Where we could take a gun. In the snow of far-off Northern lands And in sunny tropic scenes; You will find us always on the job -- The United States Marines. Here's health to you and to our Corps Which we are proud to serve; In many a strife we've fought for life And never lost our nerve. If the Army and the Navy Ever look on Heaven's scenes, They will find the streets are guarded By United States Marines.
I like the shoe idea too. EEE is a width measurement on a shoe. "wide as a triple E" I'm thinking its hidden in a shoe or something closely resembling one
Somehow I don't think it'll be terribly out in the open this year, seeing as it was found so easily last year, plus there being no snow this year.... So if it is in a shoe, it's a cleverly hidden shoe
And realy is the only shelter on Harriet currently. Just a note out the window. There is also that big bandshell thingy, that looks like the aerial lift bridge in Duluth.
On a practical matter, I don't know when these clues are written, or when the hiding spot is chosen, but what better time to reintroduce Harriet into the mix, than in a year where people would not be chopping into very old snow? Just a thought. off to bed.
The Pp is printed next to Holman field, directly across the river from Mounds Park. This is to answer the above question.
As for the gate at harriet, it is a break in the levee. Which has three Es. Oddly, it is always open, except during a heavy river flow, in which case it is closed. Noodle that.
You know, the did bring in snow from Buck Hill to do the snow sculptures, maybe they used some extra snow to hide this thing...I say if you see any suspicious snow, there's your medallion
wonder when they write these clues, because if it was a couple weeks ago, they were sure taking a stab at the dead of winter stuff, it only got really cold just last week!
There's the pavillion at Harriet

battlE crEEk work with that thinking too
think the triple E thing is there to throw us off, it doesn't mean as much as we think it does, remember the clues last year? they were horrible
Goodnight, SCDs and MCL Downtown Dave!

SCDs = Sweet Cooler Dreams
MCL = Much Cooler Love
SWEET COOLER DREAMS & MUCH COOLER LOVE

Ahh Thanks!
Unless of course the suspicious snow is the yellow variety, then I'd say stay away :)
can you see any of the pioneer press bldgs from harriet?
Or it could be in a shoe box? or partial one? particularly a shoe box marked triple E or wide size?
A triple E shoe box is pretty big, not very conspicuous considering no snow
a shoe box is going to be too big, too easily seen.
Hence the partial idea :)
I don't think PP advertises with billboards
but the star tribune calls you during dinner to see if you want a subscription
All the same, if I happen to notice any shoeboxes out and around, I'll take a look at em, just in case....
I'm thinking it's in a little/toy shoe, but obviously something else wrapped around, they wouldn't throw it in a shoe.........at least I hope not
E is the 5th letter of the alphabet - 3 5's 35? 35E?
Hi Sue, new here as well?
Just a thought too, but does anything else come in a triple E size?
a bra? ha ha that would be good!
wonder when they write these clues, because if it was a couple weeks ago, they were sure taking a stab at the dead of winter stuff, it only got really cold just last week!
