Thats not a bad idea RB.

Last night I was stuck on trying to figure out a way to get people their buttons now with a paypal account but not have them wonder and worry about fees etc added during the process.

It costs 2.9 percent plus 30 cents for every paypal transaction that takes place. Intialy I was going to have the buttons sent to people who ordered them in the mail but then you have to add shipping and handling to that cost as well.

So that 5 dollar button ends up costing 6 somthing.

Your idea makes more sense providing people can wait that long to touch the buttons . Personaly I'm one of those people who likes to have it in hand.

I can say that the girls will be out selling them around town for the next two months as well. I'm sure if people wanted to just meet them round about town they would go where the crowds were.

I'd be nervous of somebody else sending in my 10k card in the mail..

heck I'm tempted to buy 4 buttons and mail them from 4 different mailboxes...

who does that??

heh

Mr. Med Hunter

I always send a minimum of two registrations from different mailboxes. You can't be too safe! I don't want to find the medallion and then find out that my registration didn't make it in the mail.

What's your problem Redbear?

No one said anything bad about your idea.

Anyway, who turns in the registration cards anyway?

It was rather comical last year... was it clue 5 or 6?... I can't remember... we were all out there running around heading for a spot to dig.

He was out there and was lost. Matter of fact he was following the Como finders and having a hard time keeping up.

As I understood it the other morning, these are the buttons the "Winter Carnival" really wanted. But the online voting killed their hopes and pushed these aside in 2005.

Enter round two with no voting. Say hi to your 2006 buttons.

And Kate is way too, um, thin.

They are supposed to look like superheros which plays into the more "family friendly" carnival.
Wed, 11/30/2005 - 3:46 PM Permalink
OTiS

Don't you have to buy the four pack to get that one? One of those bonus things?
Wed, 11/30/2005 - 3:46 PM Permalink
leelabell

You mean Kate? No, I have singles of her.

Robert Blake played Little Beaver. He looks just like Kate in that series. Down to the feather in his hair and the haircut.

I will happily put a PayPal button on my website. You don't have to add shipping and handling to the button. You can make it for any amount you want. Shipping and handling and sales tax is an option. They will take out the fee, though.

If they use those reject buttons for next year....
