Recent Clues:

Clue #1 Congrats to the finder, to all a reminder
To hunt hard from first to last clues
Medallion I is history. Now a new mystery
Begins -- strap on your hunting shoes

To some its demented, for all unprecedented
But hunters’ thirst must be quenched
Tell sister and brother we’ve hidden another
In a park where a body can be benched

Our 2nd prize? Don’t laugh -- 10-thou cut in half
So get out there even if it’s snowy
And as a special bonus -- some might say an onus --
A meal with our own Clueless Joey

Good hunting to you, let this be the first clue
Think of a woodsy retreat
It won’t be so hard if you channel the bard
You’ll get warm and smell pretty sweet
Clue #2 If you\'re thinking big you\'re sure to dig
Near flora with growing pain
Winter or summer is never a bummer
A menagerie of fun wild or tame
Clue #3 Success on the third clue will never do
We had to stash a second
Round you go if you seek to know
Where swatters of orbs are beckoned
Clue #4: A walk in the park can be a lark
If cell phones are left at home
Heed the siren of your desirin\'
And do not revolt against this poem
Clue #5 Over hill and dale hit the trail
With a handy locating device
Fulfill your wishes like loaves and fishes
And put your victory on ice
Clue #6 A famous singer and a diamond dinger
Might put you oh so close to the spot
With the whites of your eyes you should look for the prize
Within this convenient plot
Clue #7 Don\'t turn up your noses at the city of roses
The home of the park that you seek
It\'s just north of town so come on down
Our hunt is not for the meek
Clue #8 Don\'t go mental just head for Central
Lexington Avenue will show you the way
Your spirits won\'t sag when you see the big flag
Into the trees you want to stray

"A famous command attributed to William Prescott, an American officer, at the Battle of Bunker Hill in the Revolutionary War. Prescott may have said “color” rather than “whites.”

Prescott's command has become a proverb, meaning “Don't act before you have some chance of success.” "

"With a chance of success you shold look for the prize within this convient plot"?

Well, a daimond dinger is a hit...so I read it as a singer and a hit, and I would first think of Neil Daimond (a me2 favorite) but then it seems wrong to have daimond in the next line, so I come back to Bette Midler (Mid = central) and "The Rose!"

    maybe it's just me...

FWIW....There is a large Rose laid into the ground by the amphitheater in Central..

Peter Edward "Pete" Rose, Sr. (born April 14, 1941, in Cincinnati, Ohio), nicknamed Charlie Hustle, is an American former player and manager in Major League Baseball. Pete played from 1963 to 1986, best known for his many years with the Cincinnati Reds. Rose, a switch hitter, is the all-time major-league leader in hits (4,256), games played (3,562), at bats (14,053), and outs (10328). He won three World Series rings, three batting titles, one Most Valuable Player Award, two Gold Gloves, the Rookie of the Year Award, and made 17 All-Star appearances at an unequalled five different positions (2B, LF, RF, 3B, and 1B).

In August 1989, three years after he retired as an active player, Rose agreed to permanent ineligibility from baseball amidst accusations that he gambled on baseball games while playing for and managing the Reds; some accusations claimed that he bet on, and even against, the Reds. After years of public denial, in 2004 he admitted to betting on, but not against, the Reds. After Rose's ban was instated, the Baseball Hall of Fame formally voted to bar those on the "permanently ineligible" list from induction. Previously, those who were banned (most notably, Shoeless Joe Jackson) had been excluded by informal agreement among voters. The issue of his possible re-instatement and election to the Hall of Fame remains a contentious one throughout baseball.

Notice the reference to Clueless Joey...

    Morning--

Spent most of yesterday hunting in Highland. Yes, Highland. I'm not going to explain how I made it fit--it looked really good at the time, but with the new clue, I have to admit it's probably Central. Or at least it's supposed to be Central for now. The moment I saw "singer" I went "Bennet Lake!" and for me, that sealed the deal.

In an odd coincidence, I saw Souch on the way to Highland. I didn't have the nerve to roll down the window and ask him where it was.

I will say it's nice to hunt close to home.

I keep thinking the whites of "YOUR" eyes.

When someone says don't shoot till you see the whites of "THEIR" eyes that puts you on the offensive.

If people are worried about the whites of your eyes then you are the target.

Not how that fits anything but if you are down range then someone or something is able to shoot or target YOU.
