Clue #1 You've joined the hunt for the regal runt
To prove searching does pay
Don't dig a hole or knock down a pole
And the golf course is out of play

Last year Jake took home the cake
With a clue a bit off level
This year we'll rinse off all our prints
Lest this hunt go to the devil

Clue #2 The point of all this is so that you won't miss
Your big chance to grab all the cash
Now gather your guys and a gal who is wise
You'll have to do something quite rash

Clue #3 We've scanned the county to hide our bounty
And keep you on your toes
It may sound risible, but our puck's invisible
Although it might just stick to your nose.

Clue #4 How fun is the snow how far will we go
You really ought to go see
Get up for the mission and not just the wishin'
Get into the game-it's all free

Clue #5 There once was a clue that drove you-know-who
To threaten a heinous act
We'd use it again but we're afraid of his pen
My friend, that's an unfortunate fact

Clue #6 All ye who look should honor the book
As one who stood for hope
Much was built in the name of the kilt
Look sharp now and never mope

Clue #7 If you should go look high then low
One could see it from a bower
If it's your bent you might seek a tent
To protect in case of shower

Take note of the wood and do what you should
To extract the prize for yourself
Build a bridge to your dreams as high as they seem
Leave nothing behind on the shelf

Clue #8 Look at the buck to acquire good luck
In finding the grail this year
Link a jar,a line, a star lawyer divine
While crying in your beer

He won, then lost and the nation was tossed
Into strife that was far from civil
The point I'm making is yours for the taking
Believe me - not the message board drivel

Clue #9 This name brings tears, elation and cheers
And occasionally even outrages
It sits on walls and rides the halls
And fills a dozen pages

The hills are alive and you'll have arrived
Refrain from the very injurious
Be bold and be brave but your skin you must save
What's off-limits should frankly be obvious

Clue #10 Look for the sight you hope is just right
You're doubtful and you're torn
Make the rounds for what rhymes with grounds
And part of a rose with a horn

Through flames and flow this park where you'll go
Is the site of sacred relics
Stay away from these and the cliffs if you please
Or you'll be in a heckuva fix

Clue #11 Air and river sounds lead all to Mounds
Far from the graves take your entourage
Twixt Burns and Thorn, an icy pathway is born
Across Mounds from a gray house and tan garage

Hell no fury hath as those on the wrong path
Mounds and Warner form a woodsy perimeter
The path not official contains footprints beneficial
Some 300 trudges in - quest for a quitter

This trail you must follow goes down a narrow hollow
Under a fallen tree to an old rusted drum
From here you must search for a hillside path perch
Wherein lies the center of fun

lol it was one of the many and I mean MANY fuses we didn't check. We thought it was the bulbs, so we replaced all of em, come to find out that when the wires shorted out, it started to fry the light bulbs for the tail/break light on the drivers side. It was horrible. The plastic was all bubbly and stunk. LOL the fuse? Yeah we're not going to go there. We just got damn lucky that it didn't fry out the fuse boxes themselves.

My first post of the year...

Just got in, visited many parks today - Highland, Cherokee, Harriet, Phalen, Como,BC, Vento and a few other smaller parks that I don't remember. No big crowds anywhere except Como, as there is alot going on there, and being as nice as it was.

Most hunters I saw were at Highland & Harriet, but not too much at either park. Aside from that, only a few here & there

We are back from an afternoon of on the spots noodling.

I have a couple parks that feel good.

Didn't go out to BC. It's not there.

Saw a few hunters everywhere we went - but most at Harriet Island.

Drove through Como on the way home and with all the stuff going on out there, it's hard to say if there were many hunters - though it didn't seem to be.

We need a new clue!

I can't find my sunglasses so now I have a sun headache.

Going to take some ibuprofen and lay down and let that work.

Ahhhh! Thanks, Me2. Sorry, but can't go in that park. Too soon. suffer from CoNophobia. I'd rather go back to Central than CoNo. Like that park's been done to death.

Battle Creek Indian Mounds Regional Park is as big (bigger?). Lettuce go there!

I've had an epiphany or two since last night - but I'm going to wait on this next clue. I need a couple things to help verify what I am thinking.

I was out at Battle Creak today. The Kilt may refrence to all the Scottich Pines they have out there. I don't think they dug it this year, I think its in a tree.

Here are my ideas on Battle Creak:

Its not burried, but in a tree

Huge Park, reminds me of Crosby

Its also a Dog Park. All we were told that its not on a golf course.

Lots of Scotich Pine Trees.

I just had a really good thought. We know that mason is the link to jar, line, star lawyer, so we're looking for something Masonic. On the dollar bill the Masonic thing that sticks out the most is the pyramid. There are some famous pyramids close by at Sun Ray shopping center. The eye on the dollar bill too has rays coming from it, and seems almost like a sun-type figure.

I love it! I, too, went to the pyramid idea and fluffed it off as going too far out on the Razor. But I didn't put the thought in to it like you did - just Pyramid = Sunray (again). Never never thought o'the 'sun rays' coming off the eye. I thought I had another stupid idea so didn't want to post it. I'm thinking all mine are as I never get a word of thumbs upper or thumbs lower about them.

I like it, Kids!

Clue 4 (Last Year's Roseville Hunt)

Published on January 27, 2007

A walk in the park, can be a lark,

If cell phones are left at home.

Heed the siren of your desirin'

And do not revolt against this

Explanation: Take the first word in the first line, second word in the second line, third in the third and fourth in the fourth, and you have "a cell siren revolt" — an anagram for "Roseville Central." The medallion was hidden in Roseville’s Central Park.

Has ANYONE dove into wordplay to this extent and came up with a useable nugget? I'm trying to avoid anagrams because they are all over the map.

My best so far: First word of each line from yesterday's Clue 7:

If-One-If-To-Take-To-Build-Leave

Pure gibberish, but I'm hoping someone can find something.

People get the Mason's part easy, but we have to keep in mind that they direct us to look at the buck. If we were supposed to find a Mason's lodge, then they'd tell us to look for that. We had to look at the dollar for a reason.

And you'll have good noodles from time to time. Heck, I was Highland a few nights ago with my thinking. I'm thinking Battle Creek now. Not saying I'm right, but that's what I feel at this time. I do believe that it's talking about Stephen Douglas, and that it's Point Douglas Road. Point Douglas Road and Sun Ray are far apart yes, but the last time it was Battle Creek they named features that were not a part of the park.

Oh, you do now, do you Mappy Gooey?

I just got back from my little spot at BC where no one is...I looked at the buck (1st Natl bank blding, then the highbridge.. took the bike trail past some shelves and the wooden bridge,,I found a sleeping bag roll in plaid seems like it was soaked with water(please God, let it be water) it was to frozen to unroll completely, so I drug it back to my car-it's thawing in the garage now...

Someone wake me tomorrow if the clue reads "it's in the bag"

We were out in BC early this morning. 1 or 2 cars when we arrived at the end of Point Douglas Road. When we left there must have been 2 dozen cars. Saw the 2 guys with "First in Line" jackets heading in as we were leaving. Later we checked out the area near the waterpark. That looked more promising, as that big "3M" sign stares right at you almost everywhere over there.

Here are my findings from Battle Creak

i) I found a squerl fozen to death stuck betwenen 2 tree branches. We have a sick clue writer for bringing out an other dead anamil to the park its in.

ii) I found a fozen mouse in the Pine Trees.

iii)I found a Wisky Bottle stuck to an other tree out in the woods.

Aaaahhhh! Little grasshopper is getting your drift. I'd gotten as far as realizing, "Otay, ya'made your point with MASON, grail and Mason stuff on the dollar bill..." but couldn't get beyond that. I like the reasoning behind "If I want you to find a Mason lodge I'da told you to do that."

I think crying in your beer is just to rhyme and that ittiz what we do all the time.

Kids, so how do you, or do you, get 2, 4 and 5 into BC/Mounds? And have you noodled the book and hope? I've yet to see a noodle on that I'm comfy with.
