By the way...I misspelled Justus Ohage on the Harriet Island map. I realized it today as I was trying to unscramble Joshua Tree. I'm really stuck on that clue as well as the Pharaoh-barrow clue.
From the Joshua Tree disk, there are several tunes that could be a clue.
One Tree Hill - gotta find that Old Hickory Tree!
Red Hill Mining Town - could be 3M
Where the Streets Have No Name - could be a missing street sign or the A, B, C streets out near BC, or the runways at Holman, or I had also thought about numbered streets - or freeways as they are numbered not named.
I think that there is more in the first two clues than anyone is catching on to. I've looked back at AW clues from the last two years and there is always something in there that I didn't find.
Right now, I still put the part of Battle Creek park that's along Hwy 61 pretty high on my list. I can't get all the clues to fit, but I'm working on it.
I was at harriet today and i liked it . the paddle boat the harriet bishop and Harriet Bishop memorial there. "It's best to stay within another noble's domain""Old Hickory" reffering to the old boats,it has bumpy terrain, could also be refference to waves, traffic is light, plenty of hydrogen hydroxide. river, pump house, water st.there is a disc jockey wharehouse down there.and its pretty muddy. gonna try to go back tommorow.
\Hick"o*ry\, n. [North American Indian pawcohiccora (Capt. J. Smith) a kind of milk or oily liquor pressed from pounded hickory nuts. ``Pohickory'' is named in a list of Virginia trees, in 1653, and this was finally shortened to ``hickory.'' --J. H. Trumbull.]
Ian-work depends on this hunt, but most likely I'll be there Tues-Thurs afternoon, Friday for sure!
Chris- We're still doing some noodling, probably going to go check out BC again, maybe do some drive by's. Robert Rogo makes a good case for Harriet, probably have to go check that out. What are your thoughts/plans?
I found a couple pictures on the web, There's a couple different kinds though. One is a granite grey colored trunk, the other is a shaggy barked trunk.
Nothing like being the only people in a very dark park. Without snow, nighttime hunting is for the birds!
We found two other stone walls at Mounds. There is the one that actually is east of the playground and is like a retaining wall where the trees get a bit thicker. Nothing stood out as THE tree though.
We then drove through BC again. No one....not a car. Didn't see any stone walls there, but then we didn't get out there - just drove through.
Just for the fun of it, on the way home we went by Cayuga again. There's also a stone wall there.
wasn't me then, was with Artemis...

It's the pharoahs-barrows clue and the lumpy bumpy clue that makes me believe it's at Mounds. Everything else fits if you let it.
Of course, I've also been at Harriet Island wondering what all those fools were doing at Kellogg.
Digger...AW can't be that sly. It's almost unfair if he was playing with us like that.
Yeah but TV, even the PP clues almost always fit Mounds. Besides..AW knows that we'll jump on any references to Mounds. He's throwing us off.

What do you think Jesse, Dal, Lou, Kids, Ian?
How about words that could be missing the letter "u"?
"With or without you"
Someone thought of the Mario Cuomo-Como thing.
I think that was Jewel

It seems that if it's Mounds, he gave it too early butit's a big park, and there aren't that many hunting.
Exactly Jesse. Unlike the PP hunt, Allison puts some substance into the first 2 clues.
Right now, I still put the part of Battle Creek park that's along Hwy 61 pretty high on my list. I can't get all the clues to fit, but I'm working on it.
Time to get the boys off to bed. Be Back?
....big muddy bath in the parks...
1. Mississippi
2. Harriet Island public baths (historic)
I like 1 more than 2, but I like both of them together. Now if I can make all of the other clues fit.
clue 3 could be using Pharaoh to reference B.C. as that was when the majority of Pharaohs lived.
Marley - That's good noodling!
We're heading out here. Probably not for real long, but might as well take advantage of this weather while we can.
BBL

NOW THATS SOME OLD HISTORY

Thats good, I wonder what the J. stands for?
I found a couple pictures on the web, There's a couple different kinds though. One is a granite grey colored trunk, the other is a shaggy barked trunk.
chris, i'm liking stonewall as the other jackson.
the j stands for john i believe, captain of the mayflower.
But keeping sight of the General’s moniker is vital
From this I gather that the park is a bigger park, or would have a large object obstructing the view of a hickory tree.
picture of bitternut Hickory.
agreed, kids.

incidentally, ian, i sent you the clues and explanations.
Thanks, I was just looking them over.
Back.

For a tree to stand out enough to be recognized, it almost has to stand alone or in a sparsely wooded area of a park.
