We were up at Prospect this evening. I thought it was in good shape. We found lots of circles in a square on the playground, and a square of sorts in a circle of sorts in the sun clock that's there.
We were there at dusk and not looking for grafitti, but the sand around the playground was in good shape, we didn't see trash around. the play equipment seemed to be in good, safe shape.
Of course the skeeters were terrible! Nothing like dusk to bring those hungry critters buzzing around.
When we drove through and around Cherokee tonight, I had to laugh. So much of what's visible during the winter, can't be seen now for all the trees. I'm more used to seeing that park in the dead of winter.
Sure it is---it's in St Paul - aaahhhhhhh....hmmmmmmmm.....::raises finger:: theres aaaahhhh........ oh yeah and maybe......eeeerrrrrr.... a toilet in a park?
I know folks that live out west. Y'all or ya'll is southern. Daughter has a boyfriend from the south, I work with a lady from N. Carolina, and talk to folks in Texas several times a week. It's southern.
ammonia used in a clue period bothers the bajeebers out of me. because either its referring to something like an ammonia storage facility nearby, which i don't think there are any in saint paul (ammonia storage tanks have a very distinct look as compared to a petroleum storage tank, same cylinder, very different roof). or its referring to something fertilizer-esque, which when i think about it could be referring to a port-a-john. even more coincidental to this is that ammonia is a partial component of uric acid, and we can all go from there as to what uric acid is a component of
sorry. i usually demand warning before i post such a thing just so i can keep my coke off the 'puter (don't wanna find out if dell's warranty covers coke damage). had i known where kids was gonna take it, i woulda given warning myself :)
I've done a google search on ammonia. On all the sites I've visited, the only time it's capitalized is at the beginning of a sentence. Otherwise it begins with a lower case a.
I also did some dictionary searches. The dictionary - every one I used - showed ammonia with the lower case a.
Back from the Science Museum. Everything works there except that it's not a park as mentioned in clue #1. I like when you can make certain clues work to the point that you would give the writers a high five if it turned out to be your particular vision. From walking around Rice, Kellogg and the Museum, I have a strong feeling that those Lucy statues have something to do with this hunt. I think I checked under and around at least 20 of them. They fit a lot of different ways. Off to Harriet then it's satellite time.
We didn't have time to check out Harriet Island tonight. Inks had to go back into work to cover part of the shift for someone that called in sick. I hate when life interrupts hunting expeditions.
Call me about what?

Here we are at clue 5 and still checking out tons of parks. Nothing seems to be narrowing in much.

I know folks that live out west. Y'all or ya'll is southern. Daughter has a boyfriend from the south, I work with a lady from N. Carolina, and talk to folks in Texas several times a week. It's southern.
K -so what southern thing are we missing here?
or does it mean nothing?
Southern area of town which is still west side :)
ya'll goes out of style just west of el paso i think.
Western is more like git along little doggies! LOL!!
and even that dies out once you get to phoenix in favor of an even more western "surfs up, dude"
are there any parks that are sounding southern?
Ammonia. Capitalized in the midst of a sentence. Bothers the bajeebers out of me.
I looked it up TV-it actually is correct with uppercase A. and South St Anthony is all I can think of.

It's been a long time since that's happened.

I see Clue Master is back.
Anything to report?

I also learned that there are two types of ammonia. The non-ionized kind (NH3) and the ionized ammonia (NH4).
This is probably more than I ever wanted to learn about that stinky stuff.
Thanks for the report!
We didn't have time to check out Harriet Island tonight. Inks had to go back into work to cover part of the shift for someone that called in sick. I hate when life interrupts hunting expeditions.
I'm heading for the sheets. Only three more wake-ups till Finally Friday. I best get started on one of 'em.
Goodnight and SCDs everyone! Happy Hunting!!
Big meteor shower 2 night TV
SCD's as well
We saw a good showing of that meteor shower on Saturday night up north where the skies are dark and the show unbelievable. Wish we were up there now.
Ely rocks for that stuff!
the NH4is called ammonium. side note, ammonium hydroxide is commonly used as a developer on blueprint machines.
joe!
I just looked around my office catching myself looking for a damn square on a circle. I can tell that hunting bug is approaching quick.
