Interesting omission that they didn't say the Indian Burial Mounds were offlimits for hunting.

Good point TMK. That's usually a standard inclusion.

also..didn't say anything about the zoo.

burial mounds would be a 'save' of sorts.

reflection could aslo be the burial mounds

and lots of movement could just be downtown-plains trains

I have an idea of where it may be, but I won't be able to get out there until later. Anybody else going out today at all?

Jake is out now, I am having my morning coffee and going 'somewhere' - I have 3 places to go now.

I think people have reached a point where they have better ideas of where they think it is, and don't want to share as much their insights

I'm gonna head out too but not sure where as well. I want to treat it like these simple local hunts but it's hard to do that when the PP is involved so I'm torn. I guess I'll start simple and work my way to standard. Either way I don't think it's up to CC quality yet so that helps.

well...

I'm not afraid of posting my info...

I'm going to como...

I'm going to be near frogpond... I just hate even saying that...but I guess eventually it has to be the area.....need to look hard there before I die someday.

my thoughts are based on the new entrance to the zoo...

but it also makes me very nervous that zoo area is not on the list of non-hunting locations...

I don't think anyone is hiding ideas for this hunt-

Okay, I'll post my thoughts on where I think it is. I would like myself to find it, but if I can't I want someone here to find it. I'm thinking it's at Como too. Place of improvement with a variety of movement would be the new Como Town amusement area. A save of sorts would be the Carousel. As far as trail in, it could be a few things. Trail in to the zoo perhaps, but I doubt it. Trail into the woods where the treasure was hidden the last time it was at Como. A trail into the small patch of woods near the east picnic grounds. Or a trail into the small patch of woods near the gates ajar. Looking back at previous clues, no flutter or wave could refer to the butterfly garden at the frog pond. Covered our tracks are the old trolley lines, or the gorilla tracks in the zoo that followed the path of that gorilla that got out. Not sure how high time would fit at the zoo though. Don't know of any clocks around there. Oh yeah, and having it near the zoo would fit with Minnesota "Wild".

exactly - my favorite was the butterfly gardens yesterday when I was there -

thanks for taking the time to pull it all together TMK

great post of summing alot of my thoughts...

I think the reason I'm still a little lost is that I'm having a hard time nailing down a location in the park...I'm going with my gut feeling on it now...

I can't figure out a good area between the "tracks" and the tot town.......I mean.....I just can't tie it all togethor...I've got a idea that on clue 4 we will be able to find it...

I'm gonna go shower and head out to find jake. See you thisafternoon Kitch?

There are some hints, I would think, as to where the flag is. "Find a trail in" will lead you in the right direction. Trail into the park, or trail into something else, like the zoo or a collection of trees? Also, if the improvement with plenty of movement is the Como Town, then it has to be near there. How close near is, that's up to debate. I'd look near there, as opposed to around Como Lake.

I'm thinking go in on the trial....and it will be on your right side....

but...

most trails have 2 ways onto them...so which way is that??

ok...I'm going to avoid the butterfly garden///...which btw...I always seem to confuse my brain with "butterly shaped picnic shelter" thanks to mappy.

I'd stay out of the garden, but look near the frog pond if you're going to check out that area. Check every nook of the pond! :goofy:

#1 in Saint Paul

#2 It' is wraped in something with the Wild logo

#3 It's by a bike and a hiking trail I am thinking a life guard or a life raft.

Thats what jumps out at me.

was at parts of phalen and como this A.M.

blah... just dont know yet... I dont get a "good feeling" anyplace really right now... hopefully tonights clue changes that a bit.....

bike was stolen at como....not cool... I chained it up to a tree, so I could walk around and have a look at a few things.... came back 10-15 mins later, and the chain had been cut, and the bike was gone....

they were nice enough to leave my water bottle though...

Hmm...okay sounds more and more like Como. Perhaps I'll go do a little searching tonight.

Unfortunately I have to work again... not sure if I'll make it downtown for the paper or not.

I know Nick went out to Highland..is anyone still interested in that location?

Clue Master

Was out at CoNo today and ran into Jake, me2 and Mappy. Kitch took over for me once I left. It does feel good out there but it's still CoNo so anywhere could work. I'm hoping tonight's clue will narrow it down to a section of park and not more of what it's in or what's in the park.

Thanks for the Dew J

We actually thought it could be in a plastic Mountain Dew bottle too. :eyeroll:

I soooo hurt. grabbed a beer for the headache. I searched that park so deep, I just can't imagine it there unless its over by the pavillion and Hamms. Only looked under about 40% of the picnic benches though. Sounds like a few are meeting at GWs about 10:30. I am still not sure about going there, but I will be at the paper and if it tells us anything we don't already know than I will be at the park otherwise I have a movie to watch at home.

I went to Highland on the way home from work. Searched several places I thought likely but no luck. I did find a green water bottle with a red top on a trail...PERFECT for stashing a small flag in...only it wasn't in there! :eyeroll: Saw at least 4 other hunters there...non-coolers. Stupid work prevents me from coming out to the PP, but I'll be there in spirit. Jana, I've really enjoyed all the pics...the ones from last night got my day off to a good start this morning (even if I couldn't go out until this afternoon)..cooler!

a green water bottle with a red top

WOW! That's cool!

I found a hockey stick anyway. It'll come in handy as a walking/poking stick for this hunt.

...my legs are going to be sore...

I found the strangest thing inside of a tree...

I looked down in the tree and found an object wrapped in green, white, and red string.....I really enjoy that feeling of find "IT"...

turn out it was a big "lugnut".....I know it was for balloons....oh well...cool anyways...
