Cool site. I miss both of those stadiums. I have day by day teardown photos of the Civic Center and Xcel rebuild from on top of the Travelers building where I used to work. I'm gonna see if I can dig some up.

But I got the 07/08 wild to beat the 07/08 avalanche in 7 games, winning games 2,3,5 and 7. Funny, that could be very plausible. But, the first three games weren't overtime 3-2 games like in real life.
There's really no reason for me to post this, other than the fact that this reporter threatened me today, and so I shall show her who is really the king of the Minneapolis/St. Paul Internet.
It's me.
I give you: Jana Shortal, from KARE-TV, when she was a young basketball superstar.
KARE 11's Jana Shortal Hoops It UP!
Note how the socks match the sweatshirt. Niiiice. Here's a link to Jana's blog (which she never updates).
Jana e-mailed me today, saying, "Watch it boy." Oh yeah? Well, watch this! (I actually love Jana, she's a great reporter, and even better person. But I can't help myself. Hopefully she'll add something in the comments, and I'll promptly delete it.)
That used to bug the piss out of me, when I lived in West St. Paul and I'd get mail all the time addressed to St. Paul MN 55118.
When I'd call companies I did business with and they'd ask my zip code, then when I told them 55118, they'd say, as if to confirm it, "St. Paul?" I'd tell them, "no, its WEST St. Paul".
They didn't care, couldn't care - their system wouldn't allow them to put it in there correctly.
Every time I get my hair cut they ask "whats your phone number"?
I say I dont have a phone.
1/2 the time they dont know what to do.
Then I'll ask, "do I have to have a phone to get a haircut"?
I don't think I should have to provide any information to them if I'm paying cash. They want demographics? Then pay a company to go collect it for them. I'm not giving it away free.
I asked the haircutter place that once. They told me that it wasn't for demographic information, it's so that they can maintain a file on how you like your hair cut, so if you get someone different they can cut it the way you like it.

Here a link to a slide show that includes the photos above, plus photos of the Civic Center as well -

The St. Paul city limits is close to two miles away from our Woodbury house.
You, know those store clerks ask for ZIP codes to help with demographic information - maybe we should just give them our phone area code instead.
"Did I hear a Niner in there somewhere?"
Every time I get my hair cut they ask "whats your phone number"?
I say I dont have a phone.

Its easy to look up an adress with a phone number...then a name... then? Junkmail.
To each their own I guess.
