Cool! I won't spoil this part for you, but I especially was struck by what he thought he would find in the library, when he was younger. It is in an early part of the book, probably on disc one.
We should just go ahead and give this guy "Badass of the Year" award.....
Not only did he land a damaged plane safely on a river....everyone on board survived without serious injuries....but he walked the plane twice as it was filling with sub 40 degree water to make sure everyone got out..... And if you're still not convinced... check out his resume on the Smoking Gun.
If Chuck Norris doesn't play him in the movie.... I'm going to be pissed
If any other pilot had flown that plane we wouldn't had such a happy story. They say that commericial pilots aren't typically trained to do water landings, but military pilots are. He was a former fighter pilot PLUS he was a liscensed glider pilot so he is experienced in flying planes without engines. WOW.
By The way WASN'T ME!!! I know everyone thinks that is could only be ME!!!
I know who the Masked man was LOL!!
My arrival was Planed because my ride was Kat and it sounded like a good Idea!! little change IS GOOD!!! had fun had a few more drinks and hung out for a few it was A good time thanks Mikey and Penny for having us over!!
yup! I agree. good job Penny for noticing and taking action.
Glad he was safe. coulda froze out there.
said guy said he was just going home instead of Mickeys...then 2 days later I see his picture online hanging out at Mikey and Pennys. whoops, thats quite the detour. walking home woulda been closer than Mickeys.
One even gave me a ride on the back of his bike at the Fort Snelling cemetery. They deserve huge credit. Some of those guys road there bikes from other states and hours to attend and give respects at funerals. very giving considering most were drafted and didn't have the choice. Now they have the choice to participate and be there and they are. The better side of the human race shines through them.
Olenkiewicz said the local operation involved the DEA, the Minneapolis and St. Paul police and the Hennepin County and Ramsey County sheriffs' offices, as well as the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, the Northwest Metro Drug Task Force and the Sherburne County Sheriff's Office. The local case involved multiple drug distribution cells that are allegedly responsible for transporting cocaine and methamphetamine to the area from Mexico and Canada. Drug smugglers used personal cars, commercial bus lines, commercial airlines and private and commercial trucks, DEA officials said.
Local investigators today seized more than four pounds of methamphetamine, nearly six pounds of cocaine, a pound of marijuana, seven guns, 10 vehicles and approximately $33,000 in U.S. currency.
