there wasnt anybody big using the place for a couple of years, and then ECW ran a PPV there back in 2000, and they started booking bigger acts in the venue again....
then seeing a man walk twords me and to his table - I recognized his walk. I went up to him and asked "I'm sorry to bother you but is your name Mr. Johnson?" Sure enough! it was my 5th grade teacher!!!!! I got my pic with him and told him how he's one of the few teachers I tell stories about to friends and family! I told him he meant alot to my school memories and I thanked him.
When he was ever upset he would go into the hallway and kick the trash can! I was his class pet.
I told him that my memories influenced me enough to send my kids to the same school and now I have a daughter in 5th grade.
hooking up with a friend and going to a rockin party, that came complete with substance abuse of almost every "substance" you can think of - including better versions of everything that I've been into for most of the past year and a half.
at said party - running into about 8 different people who I used to "roll with", back in the day, that I havent seen in close to 10 years...
seems that most of them have "heard about me" through the grapevine, and the rumor is that i'm "kickin ass" these days.
most rumors suck.... but I like that one
Being possibly recruited for a wrestling fed, by another old friend who was there, that is now a booker/promoter for a few local feds.
deciding to do my first ever open mic comedy night, at a bar tonight.
there were 5 people in the "audience".
I'm pretty sure that they were only there for the 2 for 1 beer deal, because it seemed like they werent paying attention to anyone on stage...
- except for one guy, who sat in the front, RIGHT next to the stage.... and all he did was stare at you, and every once in a while he would say "you suck pretty bad, you should quit", no matter who was on stage.
weekend out at bodega bay with my girlfriends. we played a game where we each try to wrestle the other to the floor and get their pj bottoms off and then you have to get them on the persons head. (if you fail, you have to take a shot)
well, Not only did I not get mine taken off - but I succeeded to getting another persons off - while she was trying for mine.
running into my dads uncle at the grocery store this morning...
Neither of us could get any shopping done, because we were standing around talking and catching up for too long... - he was telling me all about his trip to Italy a couple of months ago...
seems that he found some long-lost relatives over there, while researching stuff at a church..... pretty cool.
We ended up going and having lunch at Yarusso's, together... awesome time.
The Dari-Ette Drive-in started out as an ice cream stand in 1951. They later added drive-in parking, speaker boxes and a small indoor dining area to the original structure. The Dari-Ette still has car hops. It also offers many Italian items and is famous for its spaghetti sauce.
And hosted by my new favorite food personality, the very colorful and fun, Guy
Mexico is 2 count them 1, 2, weeks away as of today!
It's 82 in ensenada right now... far nicer than the 59 and rain I got here. I'm a little on the pasty white side and not as thin as I'd like to be, but ya know what?
It's mexico, in december, it's poor man margaritas, fish tacos and tequilla shooters.
I'm going, and I'm going to have a remarkable time. ohhh... and I'm going back to Ensenada the 3rd week of July!

With Black Sabbath (fronted by Dio) at the State Theater as my loudest.
Both shows packed their huge sound equipment into that smaller place and blew the roof off the dump.
although boxing is cool too.... a group of 5 of us had 3rd row tix for the HBO boxing - Matt Vanda fight at Aldrich Arena a couple of years ago.....
damn that was crazy!
I thought a riot was gonna break out, when he lost....
hometown kid, making it big - getting knocked out on his own turf, by some sucker..... not cool.
Vanda's really good though.
I drove home with the moon roof and all the windows open at 9:00. Excellent!
That wind info is way off. It's super calm right now.
