going to a massive "group style" interview, and being told afterward that my responses to certain questions, and my experience stand out, and that the guy wants me to work with them A.S.A.P.
Really enjoyed the weekend getaway from the kids at the Barteau House B & B in Zumbrota...aaaaaah!  :sheepish:
enjoy - having one of my best friends take me out to dinner tonight - in exchange for me driving her to get her tree and loading it up on my car. We made a trip of it - total fun.
also enjoy - getting my office mates bday present on sale!
That wasn't snow. Flurries don't count. Although I can see a couple of little squalls dotting the cities from up top. We had a little one hit DT too but it didn't last long.
The famous Alibabas nabbing 1st place in this year's annual Holiday on Main Street coloring contest. She gets $50 and also get's to light the huge Christmas tree with the Mayor, Congressman, Representative, Fire Chief, Police Chief and other counsel members and VIPs such as Santa standing around her. Great honor and photo op for proud papa. We're way excited! She seems to win all kinds of things. I did when I was younger too but she trumps me big time. I'm looking forward to a photo op myself with State Rep Joe Atkins. That guy is my favorite politician of all time. He could have been Governor if he put himself in the race. He has quite a following in these parts. Anyway, feel free to stop down with the kids and have some fun.
At the end of the evening, the winner of the contest will help Mayor George Tourville and Santa cap off the event by lighting the 2006 Christmas tree. The King and Queen of the St. Paul Winter Carnival will also make a special appearance at 5 p.m. They will help usher in winter in Inver Grove Heights with a special ceremonial knighting.
Thanks guys. I'll pass it along to Ali too. I'm going to see if I can get the picture back after the ceremony. Kline said that they were going to post an announcement at the principal's office and read it over this morning's announcements as well. I hope they did. She would have been all giddy if that happened.
making a crap-load of x-mas cookies (inlcuding my famous "Dinky Cookies") with my mom this morning, and helping her finish all of her holiday shopping.
taking a bunch of said cookies to a few friends' houses and surprising them/some of their parents.
Having a fun time at IGH's Holiday on Main Street carnival. Lots and lots of people and lots of giveaways. Good stuff too. I'm sure we'll go back for the entire time next year even if Ali doesn't get to light the tree. Fun stuff
I like the website 123myspace codes. (check google for the actual addy) Pick one of their pre-designed shin digs, and then cut and paste the code into the "about me" section.

I don't think I could have had a better time.
cliff note version - we were treated like royality, and extended the greatest hospitality ever.
also - I have a new nickname.. Chupacabra (goat licker)
thanks for this weekend
and being thought of
Here we all are roasting hotdogs and Posens out there with a pan of scallops.
:goofy:
but hey, whatever floats your boat :goofy:
I think I'd pick a different animal to vamp out on though....
like maybe a giraffe, or a zebra.
but Chupa is used also for lolipops, although they are called lickers rather than suckers.
holy crap.... they're horrible lookin... I've gotta book someplace about them.
Or the government. Better.. Aliens backed with government funding....
