Being back from vacation...the first few days were good the middle few days sucked then the last couple were awsome the drive both ways SUCKED in OHIO (SEE annoying things)
Well I am selling myself the best I can!! I am trying my hardest to get it I think I would like to do it!! and I think it will be a good job for me!! lol
had to go to Medi-cal court today, to protest the $44k lein on the house that I'm inheriting. They were being harda$$es, and then the lady asked me why it was so important to me to keep the house.
I totally lost it - tears, snot - you nme it (and I was wearing white and praying my makeup didn't run) and then they softened.
It looks like they are going to cut me a deal, if not forgive all of it. I'll hear in like 30-45 days.
I have never resorted to tears before, and hadn't planned on making that my approach, but apparently it worked.
I'm more excited for Mickey than the good news I just got.
I got off the phone with HP's IT and they are sending me the new harddrive. should have it by Sept 4th. For those of you who didn't know, my harddrive crashed the morning of 8/8/8 - clueys surgery.
The guy I talked with from HP is in Costa Rica. had a radio voice and is from Canada. Eh! Costa Rica sounds wonderful for a vacation....he says people come there, go back home and sell everything and move back there.
not having to go to the fair this year. I'm not a huge fair person in general, don't know why but I'm not. Anyways I suffer each year and go because the kids like it and so does Mike. This year it would have been agonizing for me since I can't even do my grocery shopping with out my leg and groin feeling like it's on fire. But Mike doesn't have time to go so yippy...I get to have a repreve for a year.
The booth of the guys that sell those personal scooters is just outside the Food building - at least four blocks walk from any entrance. Is that a good location for those who tire easily, or miserable locale for those already in pain? I dunno.
I actually pushed my mom in a wheel chair one year after she dislocated her knee...my back hurt so bad the next day. As for Mike taking the kids with out me yeah what a joke...
ok - so saturday I got what may be the best gift ever.
ever.
that's right - I said ever.....
I have been working with this guy for the whole 7 years that I've been at my job. Occasionally on the side, he'll bring me projects for his contracting company etc - and ask for help. I do them, he buys me lunc, starbucks gift cards, etc no big deal.
So saturday, he comes to me, and says - I have a problem, I have to do my traffic school before tuesday morning on line and I need help to get this done. So I help him.
So later he comes up to see me, and says I have something for you - I just want to say thank you, cause you are always there to bail me out, and I don't feel like lunch or coffee is a big enough thank you for everything that you do for me.
So he gave me a cardlock (essentially a gas card) for his personal company. I can go down the street, and fill up with gas when ever I want now, and he'll pay for it.
I was so shocked I almost cried, and I said -- you do know I drive an explorer right? He says, that will prolly be the cheapest one he pays for gas on...
I'm doing cartwheels still - Gas costs me about $150 a week, which I totally can't afford with everything else. This is like a GODSEND.
bummer though that we have to pay for all the court costs and over night stays in jail....maybe they planned on jailtime so they don't have to pay for a hotel night.
lets get the tax payers to fork out for our vacation!
hey honey, what jail in what city should we stay in next vacation?
We had an eccentric family that moved next door to us for a few years. Their oldest daughter was a year ahead of me in school. Their poor family moved close to 16 times while growing up.
She wrote a book about traveling abroad gypsy-style and falling in love with a prison inmate, amongst other bizarre adventures...
Finding a $100 bonus on my check for refering my friend Keith for the same job as me at the mall. I was there 3 days when they asked if I knew anyone. He was hired a week or two later.
enjoy: starting class today, for the first of the (hopefully only) three last courses i have to take before the university gets to shake money out of my pockets for nothing (thesis research). woot.
I started my final three courses I'll finally have my B.A. on December 16!!
Oh and speaking of school I was going to post this on Thursday when I found out. I got a scholarship this semester ! I thought I completely bombed the interview process...$500 not much but it pays for almost 25% of my tuition this semester.

They will need to come back to town to appear in court if they are released on bail.
I've got a number of friends, who refuse to return to Wisconsin, because they fear being arrested, after incidents, during concerts in Somerset...
