it was fun. (well the ride part, scared the crap out of me and my arms and thighs still hurt from hanging on)
we had beers after, and just chilled. It's funny, this coming friday (19th) we would have been married 10 years.
I'm very proud to say that I am impressed by the person we've both become - although I can honestly say, neither of us would have grown to be the individuals we are, if we had stayed together.
I think I have a chance of making a wonderful friend out of this. (although I wonder what his present wife would think of that!)
I don't know what the original doctor told her she had cancer for because according to my aunt the biopsy they took was negative they said it was just scar tissue (prolly from smoking for 40 years). I don't know if they saw something on the x-ray and just said looks like cancer see the cancer doc or what the deal was to be honest. But she said the oncologist before doing any test told her that her primary doc jumped the gun on saying it was cancer because they hadn't tested anythign yet.....
enjoy: mexican coffee. coffee brewed with cinnamon sticks in the pot. sooooooooooo good on a cold day - it's like 50 here, with drizzle, and i've been outside in the cold for over 2 hours with trucks.
Good job on the 5k Med Man! I'm sure RVB was proud
Glad you still like your new job TV. Give it time. Ask me2.
Glad your ex wasn't after anything L4V. And by the look of you in your thank you card, I would say that his new wife would definitely be upset if he was your good friend.
That sucks big time LAM!!! It's nice knowing you have a few more days on this planet than first thought, but it sure does suck knowing that you didn't need to go through that anguish if the right people did what they were supposed to do before blabbing all over the place that you were dying! Glad things turned out for the better anyway.
Enjoy my teammates for AW's hunt and being out and about in the rain with Jake & Sarah. Thanks AW, LLB, John & Team Allison's Chains for a good time.
Also enjoy getting out for the first time since my surgery and seeing The Pearl last Friday. Thanks for the nice time girls.
Appreciated going out to lunch with a good friend yesterday. Then having two new front door speakers installed at Best Buy for only $12 because of advice of the installer. Who happened to be the poster child for every single Best Buy car install department in the world. He thought it was funny that I wanted to take a picture of him next to his poster.
putting my first Collection put on the board today with the help of my bosss but I got them on the Phone and locked him up!! and the boss closed it!!! but thats 400 a month for the next 8 months I dont have to look for!!! HeLl YA MOFO!!!
Arrr, findin' another Weber kettle. I need two more at least. Anybody know whar I can find some more 55 gallon steel drums? A pence for an old man o'de sea?
My 401k feels more like I've been "ridden" than on a ride...
Advice: When stocks tank - BUY JEWELRY. Cuz Gold prices shot up something like 170% - if the jewelers haven't raised prices yet - they absolutely will by Christmas.
The reaction I got from my girls yesterday when they went into their room. They didn't have a clue and were so excited they talked about it all night! I love being able to do "little" things like that. I managed to move all the furniture myself but tweeked my back a little doing it but all in all it was worth it.
I went to the local screening of Anatomy of a Murder, based on a book by a local author/lawyer, who wrote about an actual murder trial.
The trial took place in the county courthouse, and the movie, starring Jimmy Stewart, Lee Remick, Eve Arden, George C. Scott, Ben Gazarra, was filmed entirely in this area, with all trial scenes filmed in the courtoom where the actual murder trial took place.
Well, the film was shown in that same courtroom Friday evening. The place was packed, and it was indeed an enthusiastic community who attended.
Saturday I had breakfast with a friend, then went to the Farmer's Market and fish market. Brought home some fresh Lake Superior whitefish to grill.
Sunday I went for a long, long hike with a friend. We are keeping our eyes on the cranberries in the bog near her house and will be out there harvesting them in a week or two. Then her neighbor invited us to pick plums and I came home with a whole bagful of them.
I need to learn how to preserve them!
Anyway, just a lot of simple pleasures, little joys, this weekend.
got a zune from a friend for my bday. I don't even know all the things this sucker can do - but it sounds cool. I'm totally excited to get to play with it.
And I was going to compliment you on your new avatar. Now I'll just leave it that I've always liked the ladies right one better anyway. :eyeroll:
was he wrong? ....or was there 'intervention'? never know.

Seems the doctors want to be right so badly they take the chance of being wrong.

and reading everyone elses good things in this thread.
Quite relaxing vs. running all over the state like I've been doing all summer. Actually I can't wait for winter this year, I can slow down a bit, heh.
My favorite season starting today

Here's a newspaper article showing the author and movie cast in the courtoom, and the alternate photo is of the crowd this past Friday night - I am the person, farthest right, whose entire head is showing.
