I'm going to a party on Saturday after thanksgiving - all of us friends who have *crazy families* and are stuck with inlaws, mom's that can't cook etc - are getting together on Saturday to do Turkey Day our way.
mmmm sausage sage stuffing and fresh cranberry orange relish...
having some family thats pissed at you for things you never did or said, and has been quoted as saying they dont want you there, really makes me want to sit eat turkey and mashed potatoes with them.....
or exchange gifts with any of them at christmas for that matter....
blah... whatever...
maybe I'll go see a good horror flick on those days...
I don't buy into the whole commercialism of christmas thing - or - I at least try not to. When people ask what I want or what ever I usually tell them to donate money to a charitable org in my name (pref. my cult) or make me something - cookies, a scarf what ever - or even the best yet - go do something for someone, i.e. read to the elderly, to kids, visit a homeless shelter with toys etc and use the $ you'd spend to get me something on them. Small gifts are fine - but I'd rather have the gifts go to someone who could use them.
Waking up at 3am with the worst migraine in my life and not getting any relief for 12 hours. So bad I was shaking and on the verge of puking. :lipsealed: Almost had the hubby take me to the ER but the only thing worse than feeling this crappy is waiting for 5 hours in a waiting room feeling this crappy. :eyeroll:
No kidding - perfect!! Really ESD! Think about it. Although I'm sure you'll have your competition, try and come up with something that could integrate your two passions. Include a ESD original print of you holding a gun in Cabellas with your resume. No one could hold a candle to you.
they need to meet my dad. according to a psyche eval he has pollyana syndrome....where even in the worst events he can make or find a positive outcome!
Been obsessing about brain anuerisms lately. I've had a migraine on and off for 2 days. Been nauseated too. Everyone says go to the doctor, but I know what they'll say and do. It's just a headache, here's a pamphlet and a prescription. No tests, no relief, no compassion. The only reason I obsess about an anuerism is because a woman I worked with died from one after going to the ER TWICE with a severe headache and nausea. They kept telling her it was a migraine. :eyeroll:
I wonder if it's women that have the problem of not being taken seriously. I hear that all the time and I've never felt that way. Maybe because men tend to wait until it's too late to do anything about things. I always go in with an end result in mind. If I don't see it heading in that direction I can always pull out the I'm Paying Your Ass card.
Did they say why she has to be put under Dan? Half the fun is staying awake to watch the inside of your brain on TV. Plus no commercials.
Shes had a few minor heart attacks in the past as well as severe high blood pressure. The Doctor felt putting her under would make for less stress on the heart.
Yes she is being put under, because if it fits the criteria they will be preforming the operation to do the coils. They put things in the actual anyeurism that make the blood supply stop going to it. Thus making it 95% chance it will not leak or bust. If they cant do it they will wake her up and send her home tomorrow. If they do she will spend the night in the ICU but be released on Friday.
Angiograms specifically aren't that huge of a deal, folks. I've had an angiogram. They DO go in near your groin, because that's the closest place that an artery comes to the skin. They'll inject Grandma with radioactive dye so that they can track the blood flow and determine the actual size and nature of the clot.
That being said I don't know how it affects an elderly person. But the procedure on face is a helpful one.
I'm pretty sure the difference between a clot and an annuerism is location - an anneurism is a blood clot in the brain, right?
An anyeurism is kinda like a balloon. There is a part of the artery in her brain where it branches out where a bubble is formed. It stretches the artery out of place.
The injection of that dye into the brain is a 5 ticket ride. I actually thought it was pretty cool. I would have freaked big time if they hadn't told me what was going to happen first though.
The coil surgery seems straightforward enough from what I was told. It always seems that the anesthesia is the biggest risk of most surgery's anyway.
That is what they have said. They said the risk for this surgery is less then the risk of this affecting her lung surgery to remove the cancer. So they figure they might as well give her the best shot possible. if they cant do the coil thing then they would have to do the invasive brain surgery. She has made it pretty clear that she does not want them cutting into her head!

We have that same kind of fun loving get out there and just do it and have a beer while you are at it spirit.
I'm going to the beach...
I hate sequins.
um, how old is
sarahyour son?or at least leaving work to go shopping...
and it's pretty much true.
Another couple weeks oh instability for my family....
Fortunatly my grandmother is strong minded.
1 in 3 women will have some form of cancer in their lifetime.
Half of men will have some form of cancer in their lifetime.
Then again you could be hit by a car with no notice....so...live life with a smile
The only thing we know for sure is we will die at some point.

No I agree with you that your grandma's accident is a blessing in disguise. My mom always said everything happens for a reason.

Dunno. But I'll keep my fingers crossed tomorrow.
::scratches head....i think that explains it::
