ouch - I pierced my tounge when I was 21. That didn't last long, I chipped a tooth and had a very very unhappy dentist and a fat bill to fix it.

great way to lose weight tho, I couldn't eat for a week!

Woke up early to get to work, for a new company bought out by the president of the old company.

last week we had 10 employees, 7 of them decided not to move on with the new place.

I'm one of the other 3, and optimism is NOT the word of the day.

So no map reading, then?

I don't know, things are so up in the air at the moment, we're basically hanging by a thread. One of the 3 was very up front about having an interview with another company.

What I do know at this point is if one more person leaves, I can't see it working out, I would have to go because the stress would just be too great.

Heck the stress has already been bad, very bad.

Still sitting here at work, wondering weither it'll work out or not.

Believe it or not, I feel bad for the company president. He hasn't always made the best decisions, some of which might be a bit shady, but he's put a LOT of his own money on the line, especially when he bid to buy the old company's assets, and then more than half of the employees came in this morning and said they were done.

Kco - that suxs. Just remember when a door shuts a window opens. You just may need to walk into another room to see it.

Try going to the batting cages and hitting the fastest ball you possibly can. That is what I do. I love getting in there with the fast baseballs.

plus the upside is - if it beans you in the melon, you really WILL forget about work.

the batting cage method has been tested here many times as well.... it works wonders... especially if you know a guy that works at the place, and can let you hit for free...

batting cages, pool and darts = good.

golf = more frustration than what's bothering you. - or so I've learned.

Running! try running! I did that a few weeks back. I ran and ran and ran. (next day hated myself for the soreness) it works!

I also dug out this old ass punching bag, from the basement thats probably older than me, and installed it out in the garage...

I'm pretty sure that one of these days, one of two things will happen, either i'm gonna go off on it, and the garage is gonna cave in/fall down, or the new neighbor chick accross the alley is gonna hear me beating on the thing, and think someones getting killed, and call the cops.....

oh she is going to hear you beating on the thing, think you are all badass ala bruce willis in a movie, and come over and fling herself on you. :sheepish:

major issues at "work" today. I still don't have a written offer of employment for the new company.

If something significant doesn't change in the morning, I've done more than I should have to do what's right and fair. Far more granted there's only 3 "employees" left.

I'm usually a very timid and mellow person that likes to go with the flow.. but everyone has a breaking point, I'm at mine now.. Even a nice guy has to eventually say no.

is there anyway you can ask for a raise for picking up their slack (ie: the work leftover from the people who quit?) :frown:

sarah buying this camera online---... it says in 2 places that it techniqually comes with the 16 mb card. It came with no card,but with a piece of paper that states that because it is a refurbished model it doesnt come with one---BS---I have sent an email to the company and will be calling them Wed. --I spent hours searching for the right place to buy this camera...I chose this company BECAUSE it says it comes with the 16 mb. WTH?

Yeah... when they put the description like that, you would expect to get what it says, and not a piece of paper, essentially saying "sorry you got screwed, better luck next time, instead....

If they dont intend on selling all the items listed, with the camera, it should say so, someplace so, somebody isnt surprised when they get it

I just called the company. Told her I was reading verbatem from their website. The woman was quick and no questions asked-she didnt even ask my name-just my phone number---SEEMS REALLY FISHY TO ME. She said they will send out the card and it will take a week. hmmmmmmmmm

Did you get the woman's name? I would document the name and time you called to help cover yourself.

My guess is they don't send the card and most people won't look at the fine print to figure out where the issue is. Saves them a lot of mem cards if that's the case.
