I am not sure, David should have that knowledge. The video was very short, first showing the Tree with ski tracks behind it maybe 15 feet, and then it showed like a weather forcast map showing some light snow and temps, then it cut to the scene showing the trees to the sky. The sound in the video had no traffic, but there was a slight hum, possible distant traffic or a high up plane going over. So I screen shot the 2 important parts of the video which is really all the video ever showed it never panned, it was just focused on the tree in one scene then cut to the weather map, then the next scene at the tree tops, end of video.

I haven’t paid enough attention to these videos in the past. How literal (?) are they?  Are we to believe that these images are from the site? Has a “post mortem” on previous videos shown this to be the case?

I think the gru clue is a reference to herb Brooks and the miracle on ice team. They sparked and insurrection of sorts. 
I think the summit clue is about the old street car that ran from phalen downtown.

Trying to decipher the clue 6 noodle that David cannot share. Perhaps Indian Mounds is the "bluff" meaning the red herring and they've been bluffing to us that it's there. The creek which starts at Phalen would be at the summit at it's highest point, before plummeting down towards the river. Before it got to the bluff now has double meaning, one that it actually gets to the bluff, but also it starts and stops, winds and hops before it gets to the "bluff" or red herring park of IM. EVENTUALLY you will will end up back at Phalen once you figure this out.
Also worth noting that the highest point in Ramsey county is on the (now abandoned) Hillcrest golf course which is due East of Phalen lake. "Hill crest" could also be the summit. The only trail near there is the Furness trail (pretty hot, indeed) but it doesn't appear to lead to any parks...
Feels like a stretch, but we need to focus on noodling 5 and 6 more.

Ah yes, Frost could definitely be related to the getting hotter line. Thinking some more on that, if you don't count Spoon as a separate lake, prior to Frost there is a creek that would have water from Kohlman, Gervais, and Keller in it. Maybe that creek lines up with where the treasure is hidden (on the south side of Phalen)?

If your in town, to me already says your in St Paul. So swing on down, really does lead me to CHS field next to Bruce Vento and to a park lit up some nights is the baseball night games.Now the "before it gets hotter" part and the misspelling of "sites" lining up water and leading you to sites as in a multi area? Not sure, that still needs to be noodled, I'm still BV for now

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, David.  I just got home after walking BVNS with my kids for an hour. Several people are pretty sold on it. A couple theories that aren't here.
BVNS would be lit up some nights when CHS Field shoots fireworks. Swing on down would be a baseball reference.
What if GRU is referencing the Gruidae family of birds? Crane's tend to nest in wetland areas which BVNS certainly offers and the Sanctuary would protect them.
I scouted Phalen on the way down, and didn't see anyone that resembled a medallion hunter, but I know that doesn't mean it isn't there. To support Phalen, what if you need to use Frost Ave on the north side of the lake...before it gets hotter and melts?

You just have to post to the message board what your guess is. You get 10 votes per day which can be divided between parks however you wish (or all go on one park). If you don't make a new guess each day, your previous guess just carries over. Earlier votes are worth more than later votes and a tie goes to whoever made the earliest pick of that park.

Summit brewing down Shepard road.... down the bluff to Hidden or Crosby ) or simply the bluff in relation to so many parks. Not really feeling the plane crash deal but who knows. 

 

Starting and Stopping hmmm reference to hiking paths winding and hopping tells me your gonna walk and hop and wind and start and stop. Which led me to Hidden and Crosby.

2 cutters Is I believe Gillette (Phalen) and Johnson ( Taylor) seems odd to use Johnson for 2 reference which looking back is not commonly done. Either way these 2 cutters seem to make us choose .......... which one or more specifically which side of the park to choose? Hmmmm

 

I say a choose between Phalen and Mounds.....

 

herringbones (1 : a pattern made up of rows of parallel lines which in any two adjacent rows slope in opposite directions. vs sawbones (a doctor or surgeon.) which park to choose or which side of the park (doubtful)

Clue 3 Genuflect - bend on a knee to see BUT OUT OF RESPECT and if indeed they are talking about impeach (Clue 2) they are going left .......they are talking about kneeling AND WHILE picking up the Macgruffin we would see something * a flag * the capitol * or simply could be talking about the medallion however I believe something we respect is seen.

I do not think it is “the map book” as the map book is now into several different maps. i think simply it is a Dog eared map ie a well used map.
